im playing it right now. i bought it cause im not very good at puzzle games and wanted to challenge myself
so far ive never used an oracle of a platinum ticket, and im up to the lava stage. feelin pretty good about myself:D. i do have some issues with it though. if they're going to make a sequal, (unlikely) i hope they add a 3D camera system.
took me so long to find this game, the major game stores just saw it and dumped it because it actually, brace yourself, made children use their brains plus they saw the graphics and thought, no way is this good, I found Zack and Wiki when looking for a copy of MP3 and i saw it selling for £24.99 so i bought it and played it and thought 'man, this game deserves a better place on the racks, Ive seen worse games on the charts in game (DK: Jet Race, NiGHTS, Bully, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity etc) its stupid that they wont give this great game credit.
btw i agree if it was called Sonic and Tail: Search for Dr Robotniks treasure they wouldve stuck it right up there in the charts
My main complaint was that it is a bit too eay :|Wow... too easy? Even the last levels? Damn...You're more than just good, really. lol
Maybe i'm just good at this kind of game,
yet i find games like monkey island and day of the tentacle to be really really hard. Harder than other people i think.
Usually i come up with all kinds of solutions but they just aren't the right ones, and end up missing the most obvious (and the right) way to continue.
What i learned is that i should look more at the little clues in the game and think less of solutions myself. But knowing and doing are two different things :PKungfuKitten
I would like to see a sequel but I'm not sure if Capcom is willing to make it.Pierst179
Well, Capcom's producer had the following to say about it:
"I have a lot of confidence in Zack & Wiki, and especially the foreign media [outside of Japan] seem to have a lot of hope and respect for the title. So of course it depends on how it sells, and the sales of the title, but that is something I would like to do, to turn it into a series."
Currently the game has sold 320,000 copies, so I'd be surprised if they were unhappy with that showing. Of particular note is the game's impressive legs:
Week 1: 56,011
Week 2: 39,517
Week 3: 29,006
Week 4: 19,635
Week 5: 18,726
Week 6: 14,046
Week 7: 16,427
Week 8: 19,494
Week 9: 26,135
Week 10: 15,312
There's still no real sign of sales slowing down.

Now that you mention it, after doing a little digging, yeah, Capcom has indeed stated that they're happy with Zack & Wiki's performance.
I'd certainly love to see more where that game came from.
I think, and this is just my opinion, that if they want to be more successful they should keep the formula and scrap the setting. This means say good bye to Zack and wiki and say hello to a more acceptped type of character. Not many people even those who like the game, liked the squeaks and squaks that constantly came out of it. Maybe if they did a more fitting setting more people would buy it.

Well, I don't know about that... the game's selling enough to make them happy, and has Capcom ever been one to ditch a selling combination? ;)

Just because it beat their expectations does not mean it was good enough. I think even they know that the best way to further their sales is to put it in a better setting. If they put a little more style into it then the people who are too shallow to realise whats under the shell would probabaly buy it.
I've been gaming around my grilfriend for years, and she always gives me crap about it. Zack and Wiki is the only game I've gotten her to play, and now she wants to try out some others. So now I relentlessly call her a nerd, thanks Zack and Wiki.
