For FREE! Let's celebrate!

It is a multiplayer game so it probably has online capabilities, though it would be good if they have single player too.
They say September *groan*
It makes me happy too, but it would make me happier if it came sooner. I hope the wait is compensated for by redone graphics and a 3D effect for 3DS users!
It is a multiplayer game, so online IS obvious. And if the internet died, how would people visit Nintendo's website or eShop or DSiWare Store or Wii Shop?
Look, there's no getting away from the fact that Nintendo are a bit behind the times, especially when it comes to technical aspects. Online Four Swords sounds mighty nice, but I don't think it's a given. It is a multiplayer game, so online IS obvious. Yeah, they are a bit behind or demos would be out by now.
After reading the article on Joystiq it seems that online is confirmed.
I never played the original either, but the free-ishness makes me happy and I can't wait!
does anyone know if the Four Swords for the GBA (or was it the GBC?) and the Gamecube the same game?
I don't think it will be online, Nintendo doesn't really focus on the online aspect of games and also the original was by GBA hookup only. I have a feeling it will be wireless only...
EDIT: Online was confirmed? Then nevermind :P

No they aren't the same game. The GBA game was Four Swords (the one comming to the eShop) and the GCN game was Four Swords Adventures.
Could I have a link to the confirmation of online? I hadn't seen it before.
And while the multiplayer is integral, don't be surprised if multiplayer isn't there. Many multiplayer games from Nintendo don't have it. Mario Party never has, Star Fox 64 3D was confirmed not to I believe.

Will it be on the eShop?
knightseason
Yes, as a free download.
I was wondering the same thing, because TC said DSiware, not EShop. Will this game be for the 3DS?[QUOTE="knightseason"]

Really? I can't remember anyone saying that during the press conference.[QUOTE="knightseason"][QUOTE="hydralisk86"] I was wondering the same thing, because TC said DSiware, not EShop. Will this game be for the 3DS?

There ya go a link just for you ;) :)
This game will be a joke without online capablility, at least for me. Nintendo needs to stop relying on Local play for games like Star Fox... not everyone has friends with 3/DS's. Not everyone wants to get together just to play 3/DS.
These games (Four Swords) are so much fun with multiple people though. I played Adventures on GC with 4 GBAs, such a mission to put it all together, but it was a blast. Crystal Chronicles too, but that's a different game altogether.
I'm kinda dissapointed it's the GBA version seeing how I played it a long time ago and beat it with 1 of my friends. It was fun though getting to play Zelda with somebody else.
I all up for multiplayer online or wifi but I hope there is a one player something so I can play it alone too. I don't always have internetz.
emirblade
If it's the exact same game that was released on the GBA then there wont be a single player as you need at least 2 people for the puzzles.

nice, cause i did beat the one for the Gamecube but i never got the chance to play the GBA version, so looking forward to it then
Remember, even if it weren't on the eshop, you can download the transfer tool for free on the DSi and once you download it, just send it over to your nice, shiny, 3DS :3
Although a problem arises if you dont have a DSi... Could get a friend with a DSi to download, transfer, then redownload :3 but it's confirmed anyways, so what am I babbling about?
No need to bump an old thread. You can always create a new thread for discussion about the free game :).Remember, even if it weren't on the eshop, you can download the transfer tool for free on the DSi and once you download it, just send it over to your nice, shiny, 3DS :3
