I was in a temple one time by those big rabbit-looking monster thing with huge mouths, (I don't know what to call them or how to explain it better) you know, the temple where one of the stones says, "Monsters with big mouths have big ears," or something along those lines. So I went to fight the big mouthed thing, and then my DS started to make a high-pitched shrieking sound, just like yours! I thought it was the monster, so I ran away from it, but the noise didn't stop. When I out my ear up to the speakers, it sounded like the sound wasn't coming from there, but from inside the DS or something! I thought it was broken (and the sound was killing my ears) so I turned my DS off.
Oddly enough, when I returned to the temple later on and fought the monster,this did not happen. 0_o It was weird.
