Does anyone have the strategy guide to Zelda Phantom Hourglass? Is it worth getting? How many pages are there? How's the general quality of the book -- if it's big enough to be called a book? The last strategy guide I got was the one for Baldur's Gate II, but that was very nicely done.

It came free with mine, I personally don't think any strategy guide is worth getting though. I think that strategy guides ruin the fun of the game so the only thing I've used it for is the MP strategies. I've read a few parts that I've already beaten and I must say its pretty well done. It's pretty long too and covers all the sidequests. If you do want a guide book, then I don't see why you wouldn't get this one.

I don't really *need* a strategy guide, per se -- especially not for a Zelda game -- but I like some of those little tips and secrets you can find out about in those books that you probably wouldn't find out about otherwise. Also, it can be a brilliant reference when the manual that came with the game don't suffice, and you don't have to look anything up online.

I don't know if my guide is primas. But it's all blue and sparkly. I bought it when i got my game. I enjoy having it around, just to get things i miss just going through the game. yes it's big enough to be considered a book. It comes quite handy to find all the odds and ends, and etc.. plus it comes with a phantom hourglass poster, and on the back it tells you where all the sunken treasures at..very handy

I find strategy guides to be useless with GameFAQ's around, why spend 25 dollars on a book you will rarely use. I have only ever had4 strategy guides in my life, 2 for the Banjo Kazooie/Tooie games on the N64, one for Smash Bros Melee which came with the game and one that came with Metroid Prime 2. I have never used them for anything other then finding some extra items that I missed along the way.

QFT. They're a waste of money, especially when GameFAQs has better guides for free. GameSpot makes great guides too... for free.

Actually, the Collectors Game Guide for Zelda is really nice. My husband and I couldn't pass it up. It's super deluxe.

Sometimes people make exceptions, I wish I had a players guide for the original Dragon Warrior Monsters, cause getting all the monsters was tough on your own, that was back when I did not even know about GameFAQ's in like 1995 or something. It is kinda the same with Pokemon, back when I was a kid players guides always helped because being kids, that was when the internet was still small and everyone was on dialup. If I can get a free players guide for DQM: Joker, I will take it because I like having a book for those sorts of situations, however that is assuming there is not one when I go to get the game.

It's handy for casual gamers, but for most of us it isn't.

mine came free with the game from toys r us. But there are other free methodes of getting help, like gamefaq ect. 20 bucks for a strat guide is quite steep seeing the game itself was 34 bucks. You could buy another DS game for that

There are a lot of free game guides online, why spend the money? Go go to the GS hints page for the game and you'l find some guides there. Also GS has down-loadable pdf game guides that are great! That is if your a paying member :)

Out of all of the Zelda titles, this one doesn't need a strategy guide...it's quite simple to beat.

I remember the day I picked my game up at the local GameCrazy. The lady offered me the deluxe guide, which looked really thick and downright sweet, and said I could get it with 20% off. She said; 'You know, if you're a real fan, you can get the guide for cheaper'. No thanks;I like my Zeldas guideless, online or print.

...that's why I still can't find the last three Poe Souls in Twilight Princess :P

I have the gold page collector edition guide (just to go with my matching TP one). It's pretty nice and it has great multiplayer advice, but only buy it if you think you need it.

I usually only buy a guide if I know I'll go to town on a game. Sometimes getting %100 on a certain title is necessary. I'll also buy them if I feel like it might be rare or sought-after at some point later down the line ($50 for a Crono Trigger guide!?). For instance, I bought the official guide to Castlevania SOTN. Great in both aspects, to rock a game%100 or sell it when I need the money.

This game istoo easy to even consider getting a strategy guide. If you want/need one, however, just get one online and dont waste your money.
