Nah, I don't really see any reason for that. RE4 was remade because it's a shooter. WW wasn't even that great.gatsbythepig

I don't think it's necessary.reggie186
I agree, and I still don't think that Resident Evil 4 should be remade.. I think its milking that game.. how about Resident Evil 5?
Although I'm hyped for RE:UC

Yeah, I agree with you.
RE4 is a phenomenal achievement in games...Zelda WW wasnt very successful and wasnt very good either. RE4 was just a masterpiece and i think theyre bringing it to the Wii because they want to finesse its game design to add one more brilliant mechanic...
WW was a piece of crud..

Why? I found Wind waker really good thanks to the controls, although I didnt like it because the islands were really sparse and the population of the world was like 15 or maybe not even that.

Exactly....winw waker was a decent game....but could use ALOT of refurbishing.....RE4 is a PRIME game and deserves alot mroe recognition than it has......besides......this will give the Wii something good, meaty and not half baked....so yeah...WW isnt the game to remake..
If people are going to port games over from the Gamecube/PS2 then at least improve on them and not just slap on a new control scheme. Sure the Wii controls will change the way people play the game but more needs to be done like new levels, more extras/options, try to iron out problems people had with the original game...
Simply put, the Wii is a more powerful machine and deserves better.
If Nintendo did release The Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker for the Wii what would they do? Just invert the control scheme and make Link right handed or add 480 support? Nothing major here. Nintendo already moved some of its Gamecube projects over to the Wii, so I think it's time for them to make ones from the ground upwards.
I think Zelda Wind Walker is a fine game as it is, Link being left handed and being BC with the Gamecube.
Not unless its a Directors cut with those missing dungeons and other content that was left out of the GC version cause they rushed it. Thats the only reason I am buying RE4-Wii because of the PS2 content. WW with Wii controls may be fun-ish, but not a very good reason to buy it. Add in the missing content though and other extra goodies and its a day one purchase.enduin
A directors cut of Zelda WW with added extras would be a good buy. I've already got RE4 on Gamecube and PS2, so apart from the new controls, the Wii version of RE4 offers me nothing really new.
Whoa why all the hate for Windwaker? Wasn't this the game of the year. The artistic design was awesome. The reasons why it shouldn't be ported are that there's nothing new that the wii mote could add to it to make it feel like a new game.JLei2kI can summarise the hate for WW in three simple words
TRIFORCE FETCH QUEST
Wind Waker is one of my favorite games but a Wii version wouldnt add enough and the artstyle wont really change any. I just hope they will create another cel shaded Zelda with an environment like Wind Waker on the Wii and make it harder then the past few Zelda's. Cant wait for the DS game.
EDIT: Wind Waker is still one of my top choices for best looking games.

Yeah, that's the only thing I didn't like about Wind Waker. You could spend like half an hour trying to find some stupid island! Other than that, the game was great. As for making it into a Wii game, why not just play the original GC game on your Wii?
Are you people serious? "Wind Waker wasn't that good." Wind Waker was one of the best games in the series. If you would actually play it and stop b1tching about the graphics you would see how amazing it was. You have to sail for a long time twice in the game before you get the warps. The only other reason would be if you wanted to go over every map area, which was awesome and brought some serious depth to the game.
As for remaking the game thats a dumb idea.
As I already said before The Legend Zelda - Wind Walker, is a fine game as it is, Link being left handed and being able to work on both the Gamecube and the Wii.
There's no real point porting over a Gamecube game unless there is a big demand for it or companies feel that they can add something more to the game. If people are going to port over Gamecube games for the Wii and slap on a new control scheme then what's the point? Why have BC in the first place? Unless Nintendo can change and improve on Wind Walker then I don't see the point of releasing it on the Wii. I do really like the game but I think the Wii needs to create new games. Of course have BC but move forward as well.
Just slapping on Wii controls to older games does not make it a completely brand new game as something more needs to be done to make the game special. The Wii has more memory, more disc space and is a more capable machine.
If we really must get port overs why not get Okami or something else? I've heard that was a good game for the PS2 and I'm sure it would have gone over to the Gamecube had it not been doing so well at the time. The visuals could have got a bit of a Wii makeover and with some new controls who knows what the game would look and play like.
