Tell her if she thinks like that, she shouldn't play games.
Just try visualising a Nintendo game on for example the 360. I could see brawl with better graphics and better online. Also many of the titles would probably be changed around, I could see Microsoft making a crazy Mario spin off kind of like conkers bad fur day. It would kill Nintendo off so it's a bad idea but the question is would it lead to even better games?zaku101
ummm NO...Shigeru Miyamoto and his team, is the only person i would trust making mario and zelda games.....he is the mastermind behind nintendo.....and hes the only reason mario, zelda metoird, pikimn etc etc etc are EXCELLENT games...MS or Sony would just butcher these games....your sister needs a good lesson in game quality...if she wants mario or any of nintendos franchises to get butchered, then she wont be wrong in wanting Ms to develop them..
If Microsoft or Sony could make A Zelda game,it will be almost completely different.Because Nintendo is the only one that knows how to do it!Name one game made by Microsoft or Sony that is just like Zelda. It would ruin the entire series!
actuall i agree kinda.... all games should be open source within the dev world and everyone should be able to make games freely with out boundaries webbut
Umm... Zelda is developed by Nintendo. Why would NINTENDO want to make a game for the PS3/360? If you mean allow other developers to make Zelda games, remember that Zelda game that wasn't made by Nintendo? That's right I'm talking about the game for the CD-i.

btw if you don't know what he's talking about. THEY SUCKED MONKEY BALLSim saying that the restritctions we have on games just ruins things. Look at mods for instance. Team Fortress a quake mod took something of someone elses and made it their own. If all games were open sorce in a kinda of free space that anyone who had the knowlege could access and change then our games would be much better

btw if you don't know what he's talking about. THEY SUCKED MONKEY BALLSthat game was just made because Nintendo were working with philips to make a CD add-on to the N64 (or snes, im not sure)..hence as a result they were given the rights to zelda for a certain time period....and oviously they sucked BADDDD

And then there's the problem of less competition...

competition would be in the right place not for money for fans and enjoyablity. and what story archs? zelda games dont really have stories spaning over multiple games

there would just be non cannon story lines it happens all the time it would just happen a lot more.
and the way gaming is now people arent competing to make better games they are competing to make more money if people couldnt hoard a franchise to themselves they would have to compete to make a better mod of that franchise

So you want the games industry to stop being a business and just become one giant mod community? That would be a disaster.
1 we already saw what microsoft has done to rare, and perfect dark ,
2 sony is on the losing side of the pie
3 my conclusion is no !!!!!
