Dear Capcom,

Stop the remakes -- Give us Z&W2 -- RE Wii specific -- New Wii specific IP.

I don't want stupid remakes anymore. You've 'tested' the Wii enough. Okami Sold better on Wii than PS2 -- RE4, RE:UC sold well on Wii, Dead Rising was possible on Wii.

i mean its mostly going to have a RE4 camera view, so what could go wrong....plus i dont think RE5 will even be better than RE4..im still buying it cos itll be an excellent game, i just think that if RE4 was made onthe Re5 graphics engine, Re4 would be supreme...Re5 has too much action, doesnt seem to have much horror...but hey i cant judge it unless i play it.....itll still be among my top 10 games

why its removing some of the things that made the a survival horror and replacing them with makes them into just another RE shooter

Some of RE4 gameplay won't hurt RE2, specially for shooting (auto aim is fail). As long as they don't turn it into an action fest...

ill settle for a little more enemies, if its going to have Re4 camera, but even if its like Re4, ill still enjoy it as much....

oh my god, excellent news! seeing as how re2 is like 30 bucks for gamecube, it will probably be around there for wiigarrett_duffman

yeh plus Re2 on GC was just a crappy port, with no updated visuals...atleast this will have better visuals and re4 camera

If this is true, it is the best news I've heard in a long time.

If they upgrade it to use the RE4 engine, then it's basically a brand new game. This is the way you do a remake/port.

Zack and Wiki didnt really sell, Resident Evil SELLS!!! hence capcom will make a RE2 remake with Re4 camera, because it sells and i will DEFINITLY BUY THIS GAME if they deliver on whats promised in the article....

RE 2 is my fav in the series. If they keep the static cameras, and only go into a 3rd person over the shoulder view while aiming, this would be the greatest game ever. Over the shoulder the whole time = too much action, not enough survival horror.Kirbythecat

i dunno... i think in RE4 it was more the atmoshpere than the camera that made RE4 more action, i think that RE2 with RE4 camera could prove my point, because your character takes up a third of the place, and if zombies are made smarter and quicker i think it could be just as scary, if they place you in an are with zombies all around you, you'll have to constantly be moving and turning, risking your back with every move

no zombies arent at all frightening no more scary then a Nazi in a WWII game or an Alien in like Halo. What was scary was u couldnt see where they were coming from. hordes of enemies dont make a game scary small amonts of well placed ones do and that what made the RE seires great from 1-3

I won't get my hopes up yet. Until I hear an official announcement from Capcom saying RE2 would get a remake like RE for the GCN.izayoi

Finally someone who gets it. I can't believe everybody is believing this. I've never heard of the site at the beginning of this topic and never read this anywhere else...

Also, though I'm the only one, I'd hate RE4 controls for that game instead of something like the REmake on GCN...
