Bumped this album a few times now...not really impressed with it, but it's not bad. it's an alright album...but i'll probably bump it for a few weeks and never touch it again. meh.

Talkin' 2 Myself is DOPE though...also WTF was he thinking on those Elton John-esque choruses

for real...lol, Elton John lite sounding mother****er..smw. Not Afraid is an AWFUL song and it's because of that god-awful chorus.

Right now my favorite joints are...

Talkin' 2 Myself
Seduction
You're Never Over
No Love feat. Lil' Wayne
Love The Way You Lie feat. Rihanna

there are some others but for whatever reason those songs standout...yes, I expect one of you guys to rag on me for this :P

fail for not having Almost Famous. Not Afraid is prolly the worst song on the album. The verses on that song get worse with every listen.

Actually I got it mixed up...I meant to put "You're Never Over" up there.

Honestly I don't remember what Almost Famous sounds like...

EDIT: Actually, I had it right...You're Never Over is up there...Not Afraid is the joint with that Elton John-lite chorus that I can't stand.

its a good album, definitely better than relapse and the em most people have been waiting for. lyrically he kills it, the main thing holding this album down are the beats and the hoooks. its a solid album

Two bonus tracks came with my deluxe edition

Ridaz; a song with the best Dre beat I've heard in a while....Most likely because it reminds me of Fandango by DJ Quik. A decent song in it's own right

Session One; a song featuring Slaughterhouse which is ill

Eminem - Ridaz - Dope beat from Dre

I'm not really a fan of the chorus on Not Afraid, but I like the first verse... overall the songs better than most, if not all, of the singles released off Relapse.

I've only listened to it once, pretty good.  And while I think it is better than Relapse, I think I enjoyed Relapse more on the initial listen.  This album will probably grow on me with repeated listens.  Some of the production is meh, but some is really bangin.  Almost Famous and Cinderella Man might be my favorite.  Good album, though I am slight underwhelmed but I think one listen isn't enough.  7.5/10.

man, i expected a lot more than that from you. the first listen was the best one for me...i was blown away by his flow and the whole "i'm back and my last album sucked" talk got me really excited. it's been getting a little repetitive after a good number of listens, i love the album tho

HOLY ****, i agree with you on all accounts. Yeah man, it's really like a 7-7.5/10...nothing more really. I've bumped the album at least 6-7 times by now....it's definitely underwhelming, but solid nonetheless.

tolerable songs...

1. Cold Wind Blows
2. Talkin' 2 Myself Feat. Kobe
3. On Fire
4. Won't Back Down feat. Pink

5. W.T.P.
6. Going Through Changes
7. Not Afraid
8. Seduction
9. No Love feat. Lil Wayne

10. Space Bound
11. Cinderella Man
12. 25 to Life
13. So Bad
14. Almost Famous
15. Love the Way You Lie feat. Rihanna
16. You're Never Over
17. Untitled

that being said, this album is about a C+/B- for me...7-7.5 ish. No more, no less. Dude's flow is dope as hell on most songs, but those choruses make some songs absolutely un listenable. Half the beats are throwaway also, but the guest appearances are all dope, and many songs I thought I wouldn't like, or didn't like at first [Cold Wind Blows, WTP, 25 To Life, You're Never Over]  turned out to be solid. Also, gotta give props to Em for incorporating some electronic/guitar driven production on this tape. Won't Back Down is DOPE as hell, despite a few stupid lines...Pink's chorus is dope, and with that production, that chorus, and that flow I could really careless if he talks about donkeys.

I love Space Bound, "So Bad" is such a waste, the production is meh and the song is just ok.  I will say there are not tracks that I have to skip, but So Bad is pretty much the only really bad song for me. I love Not Afraid too....:P

The pink song is dope minus the chorus IMO, 25 to Life is the 2nd best song on there though behind Almost Famous.

Seduction is my ISH and I don't know why. That, and the joint with Rihanna surprised the **** out of me on my first listen...those two, and probably Talkin 2 Myself are my favorite joints. Almost Famous, and the Untitled joint are up there also.

His flow is choppy as hell on the pink song. And the lyrics are WEAK. Ri Ri saves the song with her on it . . . that chorus is DOPE. Song deserved better verses. And WTP is not even in the same league as any song on Relapse, let alone TES. That song has zero redeeming value outside of the beat.

still reminds me of that old em from the Eminem Show...idk, I have no issue with the verses on the joint with Rihanna. They're not spectacular, but they're good....as far as the joint with Pink, meh...some parts really stand out as awful [im a **** stain on the underwear of life? really Em?] but overall I don't listen to thing he's saying.

Bumping White Trash Party now....still a good song. Beat is dope, no issues with Em's verses except a line here or there....lol, I think you're just confused at hearing Em do a party song. Personally, I find no boundaries for the rappers I listen to...dude can make a song about bleaching his hair for all I care. So long as that ish is bumping, who cares. I can see myself playing this at a party :P

New projected sales show Eminem's Recovery album en route to sell up to 750,000 copies in its first-week in stores.

Additional reports show Drake's Thank Me Later easily earning a Top 3 spot in its second-week.

Shady's back, all right. Eminem's sales continue to grow, and in our latest upward revision this morning, we're now calling the Recovery number 700-750k. That means the album isn't just a lock to top the first week of his previous release, Relapse, it's on track to be the biggest debut since AC/DC's Black Ice bowed with 784k back in 2008. With the weekend ahead, it's now just a question of how high it can go. Here are the seedings for next week's Top 15 * Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 700-750k Drake (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown) 150-160k (HITS: Rumor Mill)

You mad dawg?

Why you hate on Crooked?

he drops so many bars, gives us fans of rap to listen to some quality rap

doesnt complain, doesnt ask us for anything yet still continues to drop free music for us.

dude just loves to rap and share it with us rap fans, can u not respect that?

sure can, but until dude drops an album i can't take him seriously when he claims to be the best rapper alive.

Lol at Toriko saying all of SH sounds the same... they don't at all. Ortiz and Budden sound nothing like Crooked or Royce... Royce and Crooked can sound somewhat similar at times, but not often.

And I don't really see why people make that "Crooked has no album out" argument... his mixtapes are dope, his freestyles are dope, his stuff with SH is dope, etc... why does it matter? He gives us good music to listen to, period. I'd rather have that than the 1,000 rappers who put out horrible albums.

I'd rather have that than the 1,000 rappers who put out horrible albums.

but he can't be the best rapper alive without a single album out.
