http://hiphop-n-more.com/2010/10/guest-features-on-slim-thugs-tha-thug-show-revealed/

A press release was sent out announcing the release of Slim Thug's new album Tha Thug Show which is finally going to hit stores November 30th. The first single 'So High' featuring B.o.B was released couple of weeks back. Other guests on the album include: Devin The Dude, Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Big K.R.I.T., Nipsey Hustle and Rick Ross.

---

Slim Thug is one of the few mainstream rappers putting out music worth checking for these days, so I've been pretty excited for this album, but that is an AWFUL guest list. Devin is literally the only person I would want to hear on a Slim Thug album.

I really can't say I get this ... Slim Thug's last album recieved more universal acclaim than anything he'd ever done, and it did so by more sticking to what he does best rather than trying to appeal to the mainstream. Seems like a dumb move to go the other direction ... with guests like this, I bet the production isn't being done by Mr Lee either ... no thanks.

K.R.I.T. would probably be pretty decent on a Slim Thug album. He's got kind of a UGK style to him (though obviously not as good as either Bun or Pimp). I don't think Rick Ross is that bad as a guest choice either.

B.o.B jumps out as not fitting though.

K.R.I.T being on the album is awesome, not very excited by the majority of other artists annouced to be on it. Eh / the song with B.o.B it was okay. regardless I want a new Slim Thug album, Boss of All Bosses was great.

Maybe Ross would've been okay a couple years ago. And I have no doubt he can still get it done - he did on the new Pimp C album - but Ross is pretty much crap these days. Not to mention there are a billion artists that would just be more interesting.

Great is pushing it imo (and Rubbersoul's, as well ... the other main Slim Thug fan here).

I think the only way I could say that album was great was if I didn't already know how much better Slim Thug was capable of ... if you haven't checked out his crew's album yet, Boss Hogg Outlawz, "Serve & Collect Vol. 1" yet, do so ASAP. I'm not even going to begin with all the accolades I could pile on for that album ...

Also worth checking out would be the Boyz N Blue album.

Will investigate those albums then, I haven't listened to much Slim Thug outside his albums :P

1. Tha Thug Show
2. The Sky
3. Gangsta feat. Z-Ro
4. How We Do It feat. Rick Ross
5. Movie feat. Rimidi
6. Neighborhood Supastars feat. Nipsey Hussle & Yo Gotti
7. 100′s feat. Big Chief & Lil' KeKe
8. Beat It Up feat. Dallas Blocker
9. So High feat. B.o.B.
10. Free
11. Celebration
12. Caddy Music feat. Devin The Dude
13. Coming From feat. J-Dawg of Boss Hogg Outlawz & Big KRIT
14. Murda
15. Do It Again feat. Keisa

There's the actual tracklist ... looks a bit better now that there are actually a couple Texas names on there (Dallas Blocker!). Kinda sucks that they put J Dawg on the same track as Big KRIT, but whatever. Thank god Lil Wayne isn't on here anymore, that leaves Rick Ross, BOB, and Yo Gotti as the main problems I have with the line-up.

I will give him a fair chance sometime ... I guess I just haven't had much reason to believe otherwise, because I can't really say any of these internet rappers have ended up being any good (except Wale, and he still ended up putting out a crap album).

KRIT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wale

If it gives you any better idea of how un-internet KRIT is, he opened for Jay Electronica and got booed by the hipster-ass crowd. He does not sound like the alt-emcees pitchfork and other folks like to nuthugg

Yeah, I wasn't very impressed when I finally got around to checking out Jay Electronica.

But I think the greatest thing keeping me from checking out KRIT is all these UGK comparisons ... being made by mostly people that aren't even UGK fans. I have a VERY high standard for my country raps, and I'll really be surprised if this dude is up there with the likes of Big Gee and them.

I don't like UGK that much tbh, and I don't think there is much commonality between KRIT and UGK other than both are southern and don't sound like Waka Flocka Flame ghostwrote their music.

Return of 4Eva feat. Big Sant

definitely reminiscent of UGK...

this is also the best song off the mixtape by far

There's a really good track on Cory Mo's new mixtape that has KRIT on it. I was in a rush so I didn't really get far enough into the track to hear KRIT's verse, but it's basically vintage Cory Mo/UGK ****.
