I'll be honest, I never got around to hearing Watch The Throne. I'll give it a listen sometime before the end of the year... The best hip hop albums I've heard so far this year though include: A-1 - Book of Adam ASAP Rocky - LiveLoveA$AP Big KRIT - Return of 4Eva Curren$y - Covert Coup Danny Brown - XXX DaVinci - Feast or Famine EP Erk Tha Jerk - Nerd's Eye 2 Freddie Gibbs - Cold Day In Hell HD - Fresh Joe Blow - You Should Be Paying Me Locksmith - Embedded Los Rakas - Chancletas y Camisetas Bordadas EP Phonte - Charity Starts At Home Roc Marciano - Greneberg EP San Quinn & Tuf Luv - A Hustler's Hope Shady Nate - Still Based On A True Story Thurz - L.A. Riot Young L - As I Float: The Great John Nash And I'm still waiting on Young Gully - David. Those are the best I've heard this year though, so one of those.

I forgot Jay Rock - Follow Me Home. Definitely one of the top 10 of the year.

Trem - For the Term of His Natural Life or Goatmob - Goatmob.

Onierology was disapointing. :(

Yeah, that's the problem with it. Polished as hell, but lacking something to keep it interesting.

Mkavanaugh77

No.

There are many better albums released this year.

Watch The Throne was wayy overhyped.

What do you mean no...

It's my own opinion lol. You can believe what  you want but in my opinion Watch the Throne has been the best album this year bar none

I'd say runner ups would be like LiveLoveASAP, Cold Day In Hell, 1977, Sideline Story, and like Return of 4Eva

Crazy how most of those runner ups are free albums or mixtapes...

Cole World.

Watch the Throne would be second after that, Return of 4eva would be 3rd, Fear of God would be 4th and Finally Famous would be 5th.

Oneirology was solid, as were a lot of other albums, but those five stuck out from this year.

Yeah, Onierology didnt have much replay value, even though I did enjoy it for the first few listens or so. But I'd rather have an album continually grow on me and resonate, which is what XXX, Black Up and Section 80 did.

If I had to choose, I'd say Danny Browns XXX takes the cake.

I listened to that album for about 3 days. Good album, but I have no desire to listen to it ever again.

I literally bump a track from Finally Famous, or maybe even the entire album, every day.

I actually haven't heard the album, but I heard the mixtape. The mixtape is nice, but it's not f'ing with Take Care to me. I liked Take Care a lot,Drake finally took the hint and switched up his friggin' flow a little bit.

You should cop it... it could have been better but it's still dope.

I actually haven't even listened to Take Care that much, only once or twice, so maybe I should go give that another listen and pay more attention to it. I was underwhelmed on my first listen though, but then again, the same exact thing happened with Thank Me Later and I love that album.

I thought Take Care was garbage on first listen but I like it a lot now. It'll crack my top ten this year easily

Fear of God was alright but really not a big game changer for me. I found other mixtapes this year far more enjoyable. I kind of think Pusha T is boring outside of Clipse...

I'm talking about the album... Fear of God II: Let Us Pray. It has like 4 tracks off of the mixtape (4 of the 5 best, pretty much), and then 8 new tracks I think. Better than the mixtape imo. I like 10/12 songs a lot, but the 2 that I dislike, I really dislike lol.

Word, Jay Rock came with the heat on his debut.

Did you guys notice Will.I.Am singing the hook on "All My Life" instead of whoever was on it originally when the song first came out years ago? I prefer the older version because I'm so used to it. Apparently it's Kendrick Lamar and Dre (from Cool and Dre) singing on the original which I didn't find out until recently.

"All My Life" (music video) ---  Went back and watched the music video and even though this is the version with Will.I.Am singing the hook, Kendrick Lamar is shown in the video.
