Do you guys know how much this dude records? This is probably some track he just put together that got leaked. You would never see a track like this on an album of his, or even a mixtape probably. The dude records TONS of music, all the damn time. A lot of it gets leaked.... it's not like Wayne made this track and was like "yo lets throw it at the fans! it's sooo dope!"... The track just got out there. All rappers are bound to drop some wack ish in the studio before something good comes up... they don't just go in and drop fire, fire, fire. It's a process of trial and error. So stop hating on some random ass tracks that Wayne probably doesn't even know are out lol... The guy didn't even know what was going to be on the final product of C3.... the BIGGEST album of his whole career, he didn't even know what was on the final drop. He doesn't record all of his music for it to be displayed...

Dude probably got high and started rapping about some random ish...

Oh and that beat is mad old :|... so this is mos def rehashed. Probably just some crap he spit over an old beat for fun...

Ha thats what I was about to ask... He should just take time and make quality music, you don't see Hov and Nas dropping garbage on a regular basis, or any legend for that matter.

Like I said, no artist just steps in the booth and makes fire, fire, fire. Jay and Nas have probably dropped tons of crap in the studio, but it has never seen the light of day because it didn't leak and they didn't dare put it out. Rappers can't always produce good stuff in the studio, especially when they record as much as Weezy does every day. Sometimes he is going to miss and a track will suck... it's natural to any artist of any genre.

Even if Nas and Jay had a bunch of crap recorded they didn't release, don't you think it is a testament to their commitment to the quality of their work?

Lil wayne is and always has been an overproductive hack.  If you swing the bat enough you're going to get a hit.

Let me tell you what Lil wayne does everyday,

Fisrt things first...he wakes up around 10:30am....right next to Baby ofcourse.

He then proceeds to the washroom and brushes his ****ed up lookin grill. While Baby eats breakfast in bed Wayne massages Baby's feet...

once done he decides to make another wack ass rap song before headin out the house to buy another Eminem poster for his room.

So what if Wayne just swings and swings until he hits? There isn't a problem with that. And to say that he has a bunch of unreleased stuff that sucks would be ignorant. Everything in the Drought is Over series are leaked tracks. Each one of those mixtapes hold leaked Weezy that DJ Empire took and made discs out of it. And a lot of those mixtapes are VERY dope. The Drought is Over 2 is one of his best records, period. So that's why I don't get this hate. Maybe 20 wack tracks have leaked from Wayne in the last few years, but he has 6 mixtapes full of mostly dope leaked tracks and people are going to say he goes for quantity over quality? That doesn't make sense.

I will admit that Wayne is the kind of guy who just records and records tracks until he gets a gem, and then repeats the process. But to say that the tracks that are not gems are all bad or not decent is just ignorant.

He was sick back in the day and Carter III had some good tracks but lately he's just been all crap and his 'Rebirth' album didn't help.

On a side note, I wonder if I told OTB about the time I met Lil Wayne, I blogged it but I don't know if I posted it here.

I tend to judge Wayne in different ways. I judge him as a rapper when I listen to his rap stuff, I judge him as I would the Rage Against the Machine vocalist/rapper when he does rock stuff, and judge him as an autotune-tpain ish pop dude when I hear his pop music. So he doesn't lose any credit with me as a rapper that often...

You lucky ass.... when?

You lucky ass.... when?

I was staying in a hotel for a conferance from like Jan 23rd - 25th this year. It was like some model UN conferance.  Taht same weekend was the Lil Wayne concert which I also had tickets to. We almost never get hip hop concerts here in Vancouver so I had to go. Funny thing is he was staying at the same hotel as us with T-Pain since they were touring together. T-pain had his bus parked outside with his huge ass security.

So back to Wayne, I came back to the hotel wayyyy after curfew, about 12:34 and I met him in the lobby. I was like huh? Who's that dude is that Wayne? We talked a bit about the concert the next day and music and ish like that then he took his elevator up, I think we talked for about 3 minutes. It was great but I didn't have anything for him to sign and I just totally forgot about getting a photo, he had to go obviously.

Then next day on the Saturday me and my friend went to the concert, Wayne made my weekend. He and Beyonce are the only celebrities I ever met though I wouldn't say I really met Beyonce, I just got an autograph and drooled over her.
