Official Drake - Take Care Discussion

Album comes out tomorrow but I imagine a good number of us have heard this one already...

Pitchfork was all over it

Big Ghost was not

This album to me is inconsistent as hell but when it goes hard damn it's great. Headlines is still my joint. The song that's absolutely nuts on here is Lord Knows. Just Blaze gave Drake an early Christmas present with this beat...I can think of an infinite number of rappers that would have killed to go over this one. Insane. 

I like the track with The Weeknd too and another standout for me was Andre 3000s verse on The Real Her, he murdered it.

Still though I don't see myself coming back to this one alot...It's kind of boring. It's definitely too long and some songs are just garbage.

What do you all think

I really liked that beat on Lord Knows, the lyrics are really bad though. haven't heard the rest of the album yet but I'll stream it when it comes on Spotifyandyboiii

Standout tracks from Take Care: Lord Knows, Headlines and The Real Her.

I actually like the album a lot,much more than Thank Me Later. Lord Knows beat was nice,but Drake SUCKED on it to me,doesn't have enough aggression for a Just Blaze track.

I think that's a problem Drake has overall on almost all of his projects besides So Far Gone. Too many songs consisting of relationship problems gets annoying after a while,especially when it's coming from someone who is a hip hop head and really has a love for rap. I still think Take Care is pretty nice as far as production and replay goes,as opposed to Thank Me Later. Only songs I still remember off that album are Fireworks and Unforgettable (No lie,it took me more than 10 seconds to remember Unforgettable just now lol)

Lol because someone doesn't agree with you about a song? Okay don't **** with me lol, I'm good... Never said the song was bad, I liked it, I just liked other songs far more. 

Anyway, after listening to Take Care some more, I think it's one of the better albums of the year, at least from what I've heard. Drake doesn't sound the same on every song so that helps lol... 

Take Care is pretty dope. I can't believe you put Unforgettable over Show Me a Good Time though man haha.

I dont know how yall can stand Drakes voice.

If the SH thread was deleted, that is pretty lame :|... I'm pretty sure MK is like the only person who was posting in it anymore, so how could it have been offensive lol... I actually liked being able to go there and listen to random new songs from Joel Ortiz and what not that I hadn't known about.

And I can see how you could find Drake's singing voice annoying MK, but I don't see how it would be when he's rapping...  

SO we got a official Drake thread but my SLaughterhouse thread that provided recent updates on all members and new music go deleted.

Why was it deleted?

YOud think a union dedicated to rap music would support a official SH thread since they are always active and releasing new music. Whats the point of deleting it?

It wasnt offensive or anything, and there were members who used that thread for recent updates on SH.

Good beats only allow a song playtime on my playlist for so long, adding lyrical content and showing skill with delivery is what makes a song great in the rap genre for me.
