"the top four titles alone account for 2.2 million units, more than all titles combined on last week's entire Billboard 200."
oh good god thats pathetic

Yeah, I was kind of excited for this week because the music industry has been in the ****, lost something like 3 bill this year so far, not sure if that's quite right, but that' the sketchy number I remember. Still, good for Kanye, it's damn near impossible to push a mill in this current day.
It'll be interesting if 50 goes back on his word now, he already went into damage control the other day blaming the record label which is complete bull. Considering The Massacre was quick shifted to a Thursday release and still pushed a mill in that shortened frame, the dude has just gotten stale with the public, face the facts.

I wouldn't call pushing almost 700,000 albums in six days stale. Not at all.

50 and kanye's albums are doing good but the fact that 1 50 cent cd can sell 12 million, 3 years ago and now 200 albums can even break 2 million last week is as stale as a box of mini donuts from the food bank[QUOTE="ox"][QUOTE="jubjub13"]"the top four titles alone account for 2.2 million units, more than all titles combined on last week's entire Billboard 200."

While I agree that 700 000 in a week is not stale, the public is still losing interest in him, even though 600 000 in one week is more than most rappers' albums sell at all. If he lives up to his promise of releasing an album everytime Def Jam releases a big album, I doubt he'll ever get another #1 spot. Please Log In to post.
