I pre ordered it from GameStop and when it came out last week on Thursday, I was all up on it. I beat the game in 5 days. If that ain't one of the best games in 2008.....
Im getting it next week along with a PS3. Actually played it for the first time today at a buddys house, aiming system kicked a** compared to the older MGS games for PS1 and PS2.
I haven't played it yet. But I would probably still like GTA4 more. It is amazing...
Is the story better than MGS 2's? That was my favorite story in the series.

It follows along the lines of computer technology and AI, but don't expect too many huge twists at the end like MGS2. This story is pretty straightforward and just answer alot of questions rather than raise new ones.

I'm not really arguing with that one. MGS1 story was really great as well. I just prefer the over the top major twists they put in MGS2.
But anything is better than the crap they called a story in MGS3.
The twists? That wasn't really nothing. I expected stuff like that from Ocelot after the phone convo with the President after MGS1.kobegill
There were more though. Fortune's "power" was exposed, Raiden found out about Rosemary's secret job, and so on. There was just more going on in 2, and it was all interesting. 1 was focused on one story, still good though.

I don't have a PS3 yet, but I've played this game at a friend's house and it's dope. We took turns playing through the first couple acts and I got to fight Laughing Octopus which was pretty fun (MGS' boss fights rarely disappoint). I can't wait to play this game in it's entirety.
