We have a new season coming and the HOF game has passed. Y'all predictions are.....?
Eagles:18-0NetYankEagle1 game short
I have to be honest, no they won't.Raiders 9-7
they're gonna surprise some people this year. Our defense is solid and the offense is going to do some work now that we have Garcia backing up Russell

lol wow dude. ok first of all that revieving core is a joke, and i still cant belive u guys got DHB who already has tons of reports on how bad he is at camp. all he has is speed, no hands and gets jamed easy and he has to face champ bailey and cromartie twice a year.
Â
second of all Russel is a bust.......i dont get why people cant already admit that. i mean people keep saying that he hasnt played enough.............2 seasons is enough to determine he is a bust. your only good thing you got is your run game which i give props for.
Â
as far as defense that sux to. you guys got rid of Gebril Wilson your best tackler and in return a rookie who should of went 7th round is going to take his place. on top of that you guys are still weak against the run in a devision that likes to pound the rock.
the only good thing your team has is special teams
Â
i can see 6-10-0 being realistic for them which for the raiders would be a winning season

DHB is going to prove a lot of haters wrong. Plus we have Javon Walker who when healthy is beastly

he only started 1 game his first year so you can't even really count that. 2nd year was pretty much his first year that he started and he didn't do THAT bad. Peyton Manning in his first year had a 71.2 passer rating and 28 interceptions and look how he turned out.

i'll agree the run D isn't very good but the secondary is solid. Asomugha is one of the top DB's in the league

DHB has only 2 less dropped passes then Crabtree so far and he has better speed and athletic ability. Like I said he's going to prove a lot of people wrong
at least I know the Raiders have Garcia to back up Russell if he doesn't produce
Michael Mitchell will also be in the secondary
Tyvon Branch at FS is going to knock peoples teeth down their throat too
Did you also forget we have Chris Johnson on the opposite side of Asomugha ;)

i dont know the stats right off the bat but im very sure Cravtree has way more receptions tham DHB so bad comparison dude.
and Mitchell has been struggling in camp
Â
49ers, 8-8 assuming they can get Crabtree to sign. They've got a lot of games that I could see going either way (Houston, Green Bay, Jacksonville). Definitely a better team than last year.-Methtical-
I hate Crabtree for not signing. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in a Niners' uniform.Â

Since you are a Raiders fan, could you explain to me why they don't start Huff? He is a great player and has good stats in his first 2 seasons, but yet when Tom Cable took over he seemingly lost his starting job. What is up with that? Admittedly I don't follow the Raiders, but the games I saw Huff play in, he looked great.Â

Really? Hopefully he can work on it and get back his starting job or come to the Texans.Â

I read something a while ago that he's been reviewing tapes of other safeties trying to improve himself. At least he's trying.

this, and although he was solid in college at the safety spot he just doesn't have the physical physique or tenacity that most of the top Safety's in the league have. Judging from some of the tackles and the ones he missed, it looks to me he plays scared. Safetys gotta show no fear and he doesn't show thatÂ
McNabb said he wants Plaxico...I really hope we do that...and throw in Handgun Harrison for good measure...we gonna be the most making haters mad team in the history of the NFL if we signed them two fools. fat_rob
Link please? Oh yeah, that would be so sweet if we signed Plaxico...talk about win.

It was during his press conference on monday http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/08/17/mcnabb-says-he-wants-plaxico-too/It was partly in jest, but I think there was a bit of sincerity in his voice when I heard it while watching the press conference.

He should have taken notes from fellow Longhorn Michael Griffin because he shooting up the lists of elite safeties fast. He is also really good at knocking people around. Maybe the Raiders should consider moving him to CB because I know he's good in coverage.Â

It doesn't matter what McNabb wants. Looks like Burress is going to do 2 years.
TMZ reports:
Former NY Giants star Plaxico Burress just pled guilty to illegally possessing the gun that shot him in the leg while he was at a Manhattan nightclub last year.
He'll be sentenced on September 22 -- the prosecution recommended two years in prison.
The judge says Plax will get two years or less ... unless he screws up before he gets sentenced
Plax shouldn't even serve any time, NYC has such dumb overly strict gun laws.-Halftime-
If this had happened in Texas, we probably would have just laughed at him and let him on his way.Â
Who saw the Steelers and Titans game Thursday?
The Madden Curse has begun!
ESPN is reporting that Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the two cover athletes on "Madden NFL 10," injured a ligament in his left knee during yesterday's game and will be out for 3 to 6 weeks.
