Interviewed by Noz

They talk about who he was listening to when he first got into rap, getting proper credit for productions, Lil B, Imogen Heap, getting beats on Mac Miller's album, having artists asking to be on his beats rather than him having to ask people to rap on his beats, ASAP Rocky, being a part of both the hip-hop and electronic worlds, Soulja Boy, and Cam'Ron being the rapper he'd most want to work with.

Some Clams Casino productions:

Lil B - "I'm God"

Lil B - "Real **** From a Real *****"

Lil B - "Realist Alive"

ASAP Rocky - "Wassup"

Clams Casino - "Gorilla"

He seems like a quiet dude, wouldn't drop a hint to any future collabs and he only uses Sony Acid Pro, heh. Pretty crazy how it's all blown up for him in such a short space of time and the whole flip of scenario thing from him sending beats to artists to get a break to now having people asking him for beats!

Soulja Boi though? seems a funny match to me. "He's open to alot of different sounds". In no eltist kinda way but is there people still listening to him/is he even relevant in the scene? I'm guessing it's only stateside aswell..

-----------

And Cali that DJ Spinn & DJ Rashad interview was really insightful too. They went deep with the roots of their sound with this interview. I didn't realise footwork and juke are almost sub genres.. I don't think I could last a 6 hour rave with straight House/Techno though, haha.

I've seen their names around but couldn't say I've listened to any of their music. I could relate quite a bit to the stuff they were brought up/listening to when they were going to clubs. That sort of thing was quite big over here too back in the early 90's, the House and Dance scene. However we had some terrible Euro dance getting mixed in the charts too :P

I enjoy the more soulful/laid-back style of juke. Some of the other styles can get too extreme for me though. I feel footwork/juke is more relevant and enjoyable when crews are battling each other rather than for 'listening on the headphones/speakers/etc'....it's interesting that Planet Mu is endorsing the movement lol
