prod. by DJ Khalil (off "Slaughterhouse" dropping 08.11)
The beat was really wack at first, but after 3 listens, it's pretty sick imo. Really liking it. Besides that, Crooked KILLED this... not even lyric wise, he just took a kickass tone that hit the concept perfectly and went hard as hell. Joell was kinda meh... his voice threw me off. Budden was good, not amazing or anything, but I liked his verse.
Overall, good track. One of the weaker ones that have dropped so far, but still good and it won't bring the album down any, for sure.
EDIT: Ok... Royce went hard too. Jeezum... and Joell wasn't that bad actually. His voice kinda adds to the concept, so it actually fits pretty well...
Not bad...I think they need to tone down on the 4 rappers on every track mess though...they need to just let Royce spaz on a track. Dude goes off when he raps like 50 bars in a row. Same with Budden...having them just rap forever on a song might be epic with the right beat. fat_rob
Hell yes...
Budden finally has a chance to be on hot production... dude needs to be like **** you guys and get his own 5 minute long track from any of the dope producers they are working with and just murder it.
[QUOTE="iHeartCali"]To be honest, I haven't listened to a single Slaughterhouse track. Wait until the album drops you tools.Mkavanaugh77
Its to hard to wait (for me anyways, hopefully this is the last track that gets leaked)
Yeah I see what you mean, maybe it's because I'm not as hyped as the other dude's on this board are....When the song first started I thought the beat was terrible. But after they started rapping over it, it became much more tolerable. I like the song, but hopefully it doesn't end up being one of the stronger tracks on the album.-Methtical-
Word. The baet wasn't too bad at all. Song is dope, some killer punchlines.
Word to what Rob said... I was loling hard when I heard that. Sick as hell
anyway, i'm on my 20th listen or so... and damn, this is freaking dope. the beat gets better on every listen and i'm reallllly feeling it now. and everyone went hard. after listening to joell's verse a few times in a row, it's just as good as the others... and that voice is mos def a good thing.
can't wait for the album.

Yeah I see what you mean, maybe it's because I'm not as hyped as the other dude's on this board are....word... I've listened to 1 SH track total. I'll bump the album if it gets nods from OTB but I'm not gonna check out any tracks right now.
IDK how yall are holding off listening to Slaughter House...I'm way too amped for this album to not listen to the songs...plus, only three songs from the album leaked...tracks like Onslaught, Wack Emcee's, Move On (Remix), Fight Club, and Warriors are not on the album. Might as well bump them, or wait and make a super duber ill bootleg delux editioin. fat_rob
If Move On isn't remastered and made a bonus track, i'm gonna be pissed. that is easily their best song...
What is the other song...? I've only heard this and One...
[QUOTE="fat_rob"]The track with MOP...Woodstock
man...this Cuckoo track is the second Khalil cut on the album...wonder how many more he has...
elpooz
Oh I heard that one... it was good, nothing great though.
I think it sucks..."Time for change like Obama in a Laundromat" = BOOOOOOOOOOOOOÂ
that's Asspoose level
[QUOTE="iHeartCali"][QUOTE="TheHimura"]lol rob, why does the blood pulsate?fat_robit's pulsing like an erectionlol...you always say the most Perez Hilton type ish..better than coming up with wack ass predictions
:P It's all love Rob, no homo
How much focus do y'all think Slaughterhouse will put on hooks for their tracks?
'The One' has a full hook, and 'Woodstock' has a more throwback boom-bap influenced one. That's been it for the hooks, right?
I'd like to hear most of the hooks like the one for 'Woodstock;' brings me back to the raw boom bap era. I wonder how they'll manage the hooks, if they plan to incorporate them.Â
I didn't know the length of hooks were really important to people lol^^...how about we just hope the songs are all dope?WorstGameEver
Alright man, you got me all wrong.
I'm not into hooks; the only kind I enjoy are the ones I mentioned, those that bring me back to the boom bap era. I posed the question because I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on the hooks they might include. How about actually answering the question next time, instead of being a smart aleck?
Not trying to sound harsh, either. I have respect for those who listen to Jay Electronica.

alright man, not gonna hold it against ye, just thought it was kind of a weird question, normal 8 bars hooks tolerable enough, as long as it doesn't go longer than that, i think it'll be fine[QUOTE="NanakiNebula"][QUOTE="WorstGameEver"]I didn't know the length of hooks were really important to people lol^^...how about we just hope the songs are all dope?WorstGameEver

Do you have any concerns about the variety of the album? As in, do you think they'll touch on several different topics, or will they just go in on each track with punchlines.
