Its really too bad to see how the superior album is getting out sold by the inferior album.

Saw the episode when Ice Cube came to the show.. he was all excited to perform with the Roots... Jimmy Fallon was rapping along to every word as Cube spit "Today Was a Good Day" and his predominantly middle-aged white men audience was just watching blank faced like "WTF"?!? ...it was hilarious..

Five stars; best post you've ever made.

Really, that Black C album deserves to sell waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more copies than Eminem or Drake.

Am I wrong for thinking that while this is a good album, it is kinda boring and probably won't be played too much for me down the road?

I don't listen to it as much as I used to but I still love songs like Doin' It Again, Radio Daze, The Day, Hustla, and Right On

The rest kind of bores me now but I got pretty good milage from this album, better than I do with most modern hip hop releases

Maybe that explains why most bay area rap sells so terribly :P

50k first week though for a new hip hop albums though is good. The Big Boi album is on track to hit about that or 60k...

Records don't move like they used to unless your last name is Carter or your first name is Marshall

Nowadays it doesn't. It has to do with either being smart or hardworking at publicizing your records.

^^^^ I didn't like Infinite that much, not cause it's dated, but cause Em is basically imitating AZ/Nas and not being himself. As a result, the music sounds stale imo. Some dope ass lines here and there, but overall the vibe is off. Stan, Lose Yourself, Rock Bottom, etc. >>>>>> Infinite.

I always thought Infinite was a novelty in a way. Yeah at first listen it's cool to see him emulate AZ and Nas but after that it's like "This is boring".

I may have listened to infinite once, I have it on my comp, but I just never could get into it.  I think people who say Infinite is Em's best are mad pretentious.

I never understood why Eminem fans liked to call Infinite a good album. I think it has something to do with most of them having a mentality that 'Eminem is the only rapper I like' and them not having ever heard Az or Nas as Rob said

"Pretentious", huh..? No. I consider Infinite Eminem's best album because it is the only one that I have listened to (or desired to listen to) more than once.. it is also not about killing his wife, hating his mother, raping women, cursing every other syllable, and reinforcing his version of White Supremacy... Is it super-original? No. Is it better than Nas or AZ? No. Do I prefer it to the vast majority of his other material and consider it to be one of the most enjoyable underground tapes that I have ever heard and have listened to it on repeat and even left it in my truck for consecutive weeks. Yes... but, wait, I guess that would make me pretentious...

that's your perogative, but to say songs like Till I Collapse, Almost Famous, Rabbit Run, Drug Ballad, Criminal, the list could go on are not better than Infinite's songs is hard for me to believe. But enjoy Infinite, I guess.

I'd say it's better than relapse. But I enjoy many of the tracks on Recovery more than the majority of tracks on Infinite.

Listened to it a few times, and I like it, but I'd rather listen to their older albums.  And just to stoke the flames, Recovery>How I Got Over.

Ha I'd at least give at a try.

I mean from stalking you on last.fm you liked Relapse enough for it to be your most listened to Eminem album. Might as well give Recovery one listen :P

Touché

I usually play the **** out of some albums when they first come out. Relapse I still think is decent so I'll probably give Recovery a listen when I have no music to listen to. :P

Hmm a lot of the tracks are starting to geta bit repetative for me now. Only a handful I still really like.
