Dude loves to overhype some album releases . They then tend to flop. He hyped up both releases below for "bringing back hip-hop"

see Joel Ortiz's "The Brick": a few rare individuals like it, but most ppl like myself found it mediocre due to boring ass beats and the repeatative "living in poverty" subject matter

Common's "Finding Forever": Talk about the biggest flop this year, worst common album since Electric Circus, with about 4-5 good tracks, and then rest being very very meh.

I'm sure there are many other "hip-hop is alive" hypes from fatrob, I just can't think of many at the time being. Dude needs to work in advertising, he'll be a freakin legend :P

we still love you though, fatrob. :)

Is it Fat Rob that's been hyping Royce?

Still that's less likely to flop going by the mixtape.

So I like to hype up albums :P, and the Joell was kinda of jointed with Royce and Budden, I was saying they are the best "new" rappers in the game. But yeah, Joell had like two or three DOPE tracks, and the rest got boring quick.

And of course Finding Forever is the worst Common album since Electric Circus for you, Electric Circus was only two albums ago lol Electric Circus, Be, then Fiding Forever, that was the order of release. And Common's album>>>>>>Canibus' :P

Oh, and don't make me bring up Monch's last work...lol...talk about floppage.

Finding Forever was more of a flop (Not that it's even out yet lol!) than Desire for me cause all of Finding Forever's singles were awesome.
And Desire is continuing to grow on me.

Agent Orange is only on the UK version, unless you have limewire :D

I thought Desire was dope, definately not as good as I thought, but my favorite album this year so far(Expect that to change after I hear Finding Forever, Eardrum, etc...)

I think Desire's first 9 tracks are all good to great, but the 3 next tracks really hurt the album. Trilogy is great to end the album, but man those 3 tracks ****ed it up. Still a good album IMO.

haha, I used to be so terrible about overhyping stuff. I've toned it down quite alot lately, plus I've been lucky that alot of the albums I hype actually live up to the hype (ie, "West Coast Vaccine" actually is the best record of the year).

haha, I still haven't heard it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's as bad as everyone says it is, but then again, most people seem to think everything after "Critical Beatdown" isn't good, and I love that stuff too, so maybe I'll be the exception and enjoy their new record.

lmao, hash is on point

And Fat Rob always has the new track from whatever artist he's hyping up, whether the song is or is not on the artists new album. See: Hip Hop Is Dead, Finding Forever
