50 Cent's BISD. I went to Best Buy today and got the 3 disc deluxe edition. For the very first time I will post my thoughts on a album! I'm making history today. Not on just any album but a 50 album. Stay tuned later for my evaluation on BISD!
[QUOTE="i"]u never ever posted ur thoughts on an album.....have you ever voted in a cIassic thread?kobegill
Yeah I have. Just a few though.
then this whole thread is a shamÂ
kobe with a positive review of a 50 cent album?? OMG GROUND BREAKING!!! :|mems_1224could be negative. he's bashed 50 before.
50 still hasn't topped POTD, only thing that came close was GRODT.POTD, Guess Who's Back, and arguably GRODT are all you need but I thought BISD is good but only in very short bursts
First half of BISD is decent, after Hold Me Down it becomes pretty unbearable.

Guess Who's Back compilation though is just all the best things he's ever done
LOL @ this...anyone think this album won't go platnium?Colt45foolNobody cares about 50 Cent anymore. Everyone is in the Drake phase now, even Lil Wayne is very slowly starting to fade away

word, I haven't really heard anyone being a 50 Cent fan in the last year or couple years. He's pretty much a joke now.
how many albums did Ricky the Boss Rawse sell?Mkavanaugh77
From wikipedia:
Deeper Than Rap debuted #1 on Billboard Chart selling 158,000 copies its first week, making it Rick Ross's third #1 album[12] . His previous album Trilla sold 198,000 copies in its first week of release. To date, Deeper Than Rap has sold more than 382,000 copies[13][14]
LMFAO, Rick Ross is about as relevant in hip hop as 50 Cent. Now THAT my friends, is ****ing OWNAGE. And Rick put out a dope record this year too.Â
Â
Albums don't really sell like they used to unless you're named Eminem or Lil' Wayne. TheHimuraStill, Rick Ross is outselling or selling in the same range as 50. That to me is hilarious.

Ohh I see what you mean now. I thought you were calling Rick Ross irrelevant for selling 382k.

Everyone always praises POTD, but Guess Who's Back is FAR better imo...
Well that's kind of to be expected...since it's a compilation and all.[QUOTE="fat_rob"][QUOTE="Toriko42"]WORDx10000000000000000000Guess Who's Back compilation though is just all the best things he's ever done

Thought it certainly helps if you give people music worth giving a **** about. I mean, seriously, how is "Baby By Me" supposed to make ANYONE want to buy this record?! That is a terrible single even by 50 Cent standards.

I don't care how much hate I get but I really like Baby By Me though mostly because of the beat and Ne-YoThe song itself isn't so great though. He's using a damn punchline that he used in 'I Get Money' (Check it at 00:43) but he made a whole hook out of it. Lame rehash if you ask me.
Better singles would have been the following, they are more '50' and better represent the album. Baby By Me should have been the 2nd single instead of the lead single (I know he put out songs before it but Baby By Me is what people associate this album with):
Crime Wave
Stretch
Death to my Enemies
Strong Enough
Still though, he's a shadow of what he used to be. How To Rob, Lifes on the Line, Many Men, 21 Questions, Wanksta, Ghetto Quaran, I love those songs. I can't find much new 50 I enjoy.

Those are not radio friendly tracks. They will censor the hell outta those songs. It wouldn't be worth it. They did that to 50s "Still Will Kill" track.
it's like waiting for a gamespot review to go up.....40 posts later, and nearly a week after the thread was posted :P
Just saying.

Baby By Me is also a dirty song just with little swearingAnd yeah they would but I thought Still Will Kill was a better song then I Get Money though I Get Money was more radio friendly.
The problem with Baby By Me is it's just not what people expect and they get this false idea that the whole album is going to be like that. With tracks like I Get Money, Candy Shop, etc it's not an issue cause the albums have that sound but Baby By Me is just so out there compared to the rest of the album it shouldn't have been a lead single.Â

Baby By Me really ain't all that dirty either. You look on 106 & Park, they censor alot of Ne-Yo's verse. He didn't even swear but the song really doesn't have swearing in it. Its just witty with the sexual references.
