Yeah, his keyboard work for the first couple Roots' albums was incredible ... it's funny going back and reading old reviews of those records, because their are alot of reviews that talk more about Storch's keyboard playing than the rest of the group combined.

Beyond that, Storch definetely is a talented producer, but I think he's just following today's "less is more" mentality (ie, look how simple "Laffy Taffy" is, and how proportionally huge of a hit it was) ... if the people want simple beats, that's what he's giving them.
