Well, I tend to enjoy my music a bit more than usual...and a few albums..just have no effect. But there are two albums that I have experimented with recently...which gave me very different opinions than what I used to think.
1- Murray's Revenge - Murs & 9th Wonder
Sober: I like the album, although their previous effort was better...the difference isn't very big.
High: Sh** is f***in horrible, god not only are the lyrics so damn cheesy (lyricism is quite lacking if you ask me)...but the beats are probably the worst I ever heard. I mean, just peep "Murray's Law", "Silly Girl", and "Yesterday & Today"...WTF are those whack ass sound effects in the back?
2- Hell Hath No Fury - Clipse
Sober: Dope album indeed...I sorta feel my top of '06 isn't finalized...this might take Ice Cube's place...or maybe go up a bit higher.
High: Holy crap...this is hands down...the greatest album ever made :|.
Just a thought that I wanted to share with u guys...what do ya'll think?

But anyway, when I was used to get high I always liked Aquemini for some reason......
[QUOTE="Scuervo"]I tend to listen to snap music or southern rap when I'm high. Those generic songs like "Mney In The Bank" sound phenomenal, it's like you're in a video gameDaDukies:? that stuff hurts my ears when i'm blazedWord, same here...garbage always hurts my ears regardless of my state of mind.

I can always go to Illmatic, or if I'm feeling really good I'll go with some Tribe or possibly Jay-Z. I know that I love anything 9th worked on when I'm blazed, and I love to listen to hip hop when I'm high.

Word. Instrumental stuff especially. I like to listen to psy-trance/goa trance too..

DJ Shadow FTWEndtroducing and Preemptive Strike are two of my favorites. I still prefer DJ Krush over him, though. Krush just has a larger body of work and much of it surpasses Shadow's best.

DJ Krush is meh IMO, wasn't feeling his ish....I'd def prefer Shadow over him.i havent ever checked out Krush's stuff...what album would you reccommend I start with? as far as instrumentals go, I also love RJD2, Blockhead, and Metal FingersDaDukies
Yeah, I like RJD2 and Blockhead but I haven't yet got around to getting any of the Special Herbs albums..
For DJ Krush either Zen or Jaku would be a good choice...both two of his best. Ki-Oku, Meiso, Krush are pretty good as well.
I'd also recommend Coldcut - Let Us Play in addition to those.
