Got a bunch of albums before I finally got into it, like five or six, but then when I heard One Love, I was like, hey, there's something to this music. Made me feel likethe life long ignorant ass I was.

Will Smith - Men In Black

That song was my jam and I almost banged out my first grade teacher because the snitch was trying to tell me that Will Smiths Men in Black isnt a genre of music ....

I remember the first song I loved from hip hop was Gin & Juice by Snoop Dogg.

First album that got me into hip hop was a combination of 2Pac "All Eyez on Me" & Nas' "Illmatic.

I'd say the Black Star album got me into underground.

Coolio I guess for just liking rap, Biggie's Ready to Die for appreciating more about what rap had to offer from a lyrical perspective, and Black Star for getting me into underground when it first dropped.

I can't remember. I heard alot of rap songs before I like it but i'm not sure which one I really liked and made me take interest. The earliest one I can remember was Make Em Say Ugh LOL! Then there was RuffRyders Anthem and I know I liked the MMLP. So some of those anyway.

Everyone where I live got MMLP when it came out and I knocked my big sister's copy and bumped it for months. Then a few years later I got limewire and started downloading more Hip-Hop songs but I didn't really love Hip-Hop until I heard The Magic Number, Eye Know and Me, Myself & I by De La Soul.

Yeah, I think listening to Ludacris' "What's Your Fantasy?" got me into hip-hop mostly (the mainstream, that is).

I started listening to music around 2000, and I was mostly into the mainstream music of the time... I wasn't even hearing hip-hop radio until I heard that Jay-Z song 'H to the Izzo'... I bought 'The Blueprint' when it came out, and it is by far my favorite hip-hop album ever, since that is the album that got me to LISTEN to hip-hop. 8)

Probably The Blueprint by Jay-Z. I was in 7th grade when it came out, and I remember my mom sent me to school with pink eye, when I get sent home she felt bad and offered to buy me a cd, and I chose that one and listened to it all day and instantly fell in love with it.
