Out of those... Dre or Hi Tek but seriously Premo, Premier, Finesse you left out soo many good ones jeesus dude.WizengamotX
I hope you know that they are the same guy.
If you're talking about their full body of works then Dr. Dre is the obvious choice there. If you're talking about lately though then I would go with Just Blaze easily because of how many great beats he's been putting out recently. That list isn't all that great though. Scott Storch and WILL.I.AM? They don't belong anywhere near a best producers list....Out of the following: Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Pharrell williams, Hi Tek, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Just Blaze, WILL.I.AM????

I went and added Dilla to my list ;) I always leave people off.. Erick Sermon, Marley Marl, Havoc, Quik, etc. up there too.
Dre... Without him, Rza, an Pete Rock, half those dudes wouldn't have there style.-Raekwon-
The RZA, Pete Rock and Dr. Dre all have different production styles.
I've never said this before but you fail, big time. :(

Wow... You are so pathetic it is not even funny. I obviously was not camparing them in there style, anyone with a brain could easily see this. They all produced innovations however that gave thease people there style. The Rza was the first to ever do the chipmunk voice sample for Production "Ice Cream". Just Blaze & Kanye have both said they got this from him. Dr. Dre took G-Funk from O-Town, re-created it, and made a masterpeice. ALL of thease producers took a lil from him. Pete Rock is one of the best diggers of all time, and was the first to use horns in Hip Hop. TONS of Producers after him, including many of the ones on this list do that, and in fact Just Blaze on "Pump It Up" sampled the same peice as Pete did in T.R.O.Y, and flipped it differently, to give it a more funk vibe. That was the influence of both Dre AND Pete. I expect an apology for your blatent stupidity, or a loss of the little respect you get from me will soon come. Also esb617 Marley Marl influeced ALL Producers. He was the first to sample individual one shot drum sounds from records, and make his own drum loops. He influenced Dre too... Just look at Dre's 1986 work (Electronic Drums), than his 1992 work (Sampled Drums). Marley Marl influenced everyone not thru style, but thru innovations in the way technology was used. Just like Rza did with the changing of pitches, and BPM's on samples. EVERYONE was influenced by Marley, and thanks for reminding me about him. :D[QUOTE="bradleybhoy"][QUOTE="-Raekwon-"]Dre... Sorry I misread it. I thought you said that without Dr. Dre, Pete Rock and The RZA wouldn't have their stile.
And I don't think Pete Rock was the very first person to sample horns. What about the Jungle Brothers?
Anyway sorry. I thought you were a Dr. Dre fanboy.
Do I still have your respect? :|

You can't use cl.ass or st.yle... I think it has to do with the Java codes on GS now. It messes them up.

Should've answered this with my last post... but just listen to A Tribe Called Quest's "Footprints" off their debut album back in 1990 which obviously uses the horns from Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke." There are horns on 3 Feet High and Rising, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, etc. too.

Dr. Dre, no doubt..
but in order of my faves, it would be Dre, Kanye, Just Blaze, hi Tek
Haha you said Scott Storch. You're funny!ak618
scott storch is legit dude. he got his start playing keys for the roots on their older albums and a lot of people say he did a lot of uncredited work on dre's 2001 album. i know he looks like a clown with his orange bath robe and ish but whatever. that timbaland diss video was hilarious, hes in MIA changing lanes in a bugatti. and then you look at the dude and its hilarious as hell.

Exactly. Storch is a friggin clown now, and he did it to himself. He f**king killed it on Do You Want More (just like everyone else on that record), but his production has always been corny to me. I'm not a big Dre fan, so I didn't really like the songs I heard off of 2001. But his godawful production for Paris Hilton, 50 Cent, and (insert sh***y pop artist here) is unforgivable. The old Scott Storch played some pretty good keys on the first two roots albums, but when it comes to production, I can't stand him. I hate this term but he is the definition of a sellout.
