People throw around the word "classic" waay too much. The Coup isn't all that jazz on my opinion, but that's just my roots. IThe yay isn't really looked at by peeps outta the bay, so w.e Mac Dre & $hort got enough play. I'm looking at Blue Scholars alot now -- that's real hip-hop for yall. I'd say Capone-N-Noreaga should have came out with something. Same with The Firm. O.G.C.'s Da Storm isn't a classic (but it's damn good). The best rapper (not group), is a really hard one, but I'd say just on instinct (don't get me wrong - I didn't take any time thinking about this one), would be Big Pun.

Soul Food is considered a bonafide Southern classic. Blue Scholars are dope bro. You obviously haven't heard much by them. Meth's Tical isn't a classic, but it is a solid East Coast album. I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me. It is too long and inconsistant (no running theme). Meth is the only really accepted and respected one from the Wu these days in Brooklyn, as far as I know. Of course, if any of them were to come around people would flock to them, but you know what I mean. Meth has talent (maybe the best of the Wu - I'm looking for another Meth & Red collabo. soon!). I'm still sticking with Pun on this one though. For sure.

If any Cormega release is a c lassic, It would definetly be The Realness
