If you could pick just one? what would it be?
For me, it's neck to neck between Armor of God and ELmatic, but I'd go for the Vakill Album only because its been a while since I've listened to some new stuff from the greatest lyricist on earth

Big Boi's Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. The Big Boi solo, Andre solo and Outkast albums are the three things I'm most anticipating. The Big Boi album is prolly the only one that will drop in 2009.
After that I'm just looking forward to anything Willie Evans Jr. and Paten Locke release. Paten has an album called Super Ramen Rocketship (lol) coming out in September. And they're both also working on a joint album under the name Dumbtron.
no ones sure if he is really, if it's even an album...i didn't know electronica was even dropping this year...
elpooz
Royce's Street Hop, assuming it actually comes out this year. JML897lol Royce can't make proper albums. Won't be beyond 7/10 quality-wise, just like every other Royce album. What we need as The Bar Exam 3. I hope it drops around christmas atleast, that would be epic

I feel like you're being sarcastic but either way I'm actually looking forward to it... I forgot.

No im not, its a shame that Lupe is hated by many members in this boardI'm not sure why either... I mean, even if you don't like him, at least his beats are pretty nice. Only problem I have with him is his breath control.

and i'm really not that hyped for Armor of God... Hash seems to think it will be legendary and i really don't see why... i've enjoyed dudes music and i will admit that he is in the top percentile when it comes to lyrics... but the album honestly won't be anything more than good.
Big Boi's new jawn, ELmatic, the new Vakill, Street Hop, and Jay Electronica if he actually drops an album this year.
you don't have any appreciation for proper lyricists, go back to listening to 808s and heartbreak, thats more up your allyand i'm really not that hyped for Armor of God... i hope there isn't anything up my ally ... i'd feel bad for the homie...
and yes i do, Nas is my all time favorite artist for a reason..... i'd certainly rather have a rapper with great flow and production and decent lyrics than one with decent flow and production and great lyrics, but i still appreciate dope lyrics. how are you gonna say stuff like this when i always hype up joe budden and padded room...? the best part of joey as an artist is his lyrics, and the best part of that album was its lyrical capacity...Â

sure thing bud, that SH joint is prolly the first lyrical album you got in your collection. lol at comparing Padded Room to anything Vakill has done, have you even listened to Vakill? Please don't make me own you like I did Mk with that Chino thread long ago.Â

padded room ishes on anything vakill has done a million times over, you really don't want to get me started lololol
and if you really wanna get on the lyrical tip, vakill ain't even the most lyrical dude out there...

If lyricism isn't everything how could Padded Room be better than a Vakill album, what with how terribly boring the beats were on PR? Vakill has always got some good production, the production on Padded Room could sedate an elephant. And it's not like Joe Budden blows away Vakill as a lyricist either, especially on that album. Please Log In to post.
