Can you name one song from the 80's or 90's that was legit hit and you thought it was good then, but now you've realised it wasn't that good after all? Oh, and name one that has held up if you can think of one too.

One I've had in my head very recently that I even listened to today is Silent Lucidity by Queensryche.
One that I really liked years ago that I dislike now is a lot harder to think of, since I usually listen to music I like.
Edit: Â This list is interesting and reminded me of a lot of songs I at least listened to at some point:Â http://rateyourmusic.com/list/fierystage/vh1s_100_greatest_one_hit_wonders/

I don't think it's really neccesary to specify which did and didn't age well.
Marcy's Playground - Â Sex & Candy: is still an awesome song.
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby: is such a joke now
I love this song from the 80s. I personally think it's aged great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIpfWORQWhU
Aged well: Even Flow Didn't age well: Hall and Oates anythingmonkeytoes61
I disagree completely, on Hall and Oates. Those guys were awesome then, and still are.
Also, "Africa" by Toto is timeless.

The song "Africa" will always have a special place in my heart. Â I always enjoyed blowin crap up in a helicopter in GTA when that was playing..
Aged well: Come on Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners
Didn't age well: Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx
80s Aged Well: Mirror in the Bathroom - The Beat 80s Aged Poorly: (too easy) Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin 90s Aged Well: Jane's Addiction - Jane Says 90s Aged Poorly: You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissettedsmccracken
Disagree on this one. It's just such a nostalgic song.
aged well:
September Gurls - Big Star (1974, this is generally considered one of the Top 5 pop songs of all time, ahead of its time)
Destination Unknown - Missing Persons (1982, lead singer Dale Bozzio was way ahead of Lady Gaga)
Cannonball - The Breeders (1993)
Ray of Light - Madonna (1998, still sounds fresh today)
I agree with the person who said Bohemian Rhapsody
