This is sickening.
As Adolph Hitler once said, "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future."
What's more sickening is that there are people here on Gamespot, reading this thread, who going to post a reply in an attempt to justify this.

Perhaps you meant to compare Adolf Hitler to Barack Obama? I've never heard of "Adolph". Either way, the argument is ludicrous, and I can only respond with this.
[QUOTE="-Sun_Tzu-"]Those are pretty creepy, well, except for the one titled "No One's as Irish as Barack Obama"; that one is pretty funny. Dman0017I could have sworn that Obama isnt Irish. Who knew that a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas would have an Irish kid?
Yeah, that link was so awesome, and that lady is such a twit. :lol:Perhaps you meant to compare Adolf Hitler to Barack Obama? I've never heard of "Adolph". Either way, the argument is ludicrous, and I can only respond with this.

Almost as sickening as this.Stevo_the_gamer
And thus, Barack Obama was elected...why worry about paying your own gas and your own mortgage when you can vote someone into office who you believe will do it for you?
You may not know this.. but our educational systems have been doing this kind of stuff since as long as they've been around... why don't you complain about how they preach the idea of "execessive individualism" to children? and then slap you on the wrist when you stand out., and say you have ADD. Seriously, there isn't even an issue.

This has nothng to do with our education system. In fact, I actually agree with what you've said about the tendencies of our education system.
Here's the issue. Read the first paragraph.

So the President of the United States can never be referred to in a positive way? I think it takes a little more than one speech (which took surprisingly long to get through that) to convince someone that Obama is some sort of American god.Teaching children to sing uplifting ideals and change is BAD!!!!! Where are the underpaid, apathetic teachers when you need em?

Yes because one fool is a 100% absolute indication of the entire voter base huh?100%? No. Obama won 52.9% of the total vote, and McCain won 45.7%. That's roughly an 11% margin. if 6-7 percent of the total voting population decided to vote for Barack Obama instead of McCain for her reasons, that would account for his win.

LOL that is great...so Obama is the only president ever to fit your wiki description?
The irony here is that if these same children were singing "We hate Obama - vote Republican, yadda yadda yadda...." the original poster would have no problem with it and he'd be attacking whoever started a similar thread like this one about it...

I think it takes a little more than one speech (which took surprisingly long to get through that) to convince someone that Obama is some sort of American god.Your first question I will ignore, because we both know I did not in any way say that. You took my point and drastically exaggerated it. It's when he is praised without question, without any sort of skepticism, without hesitation. No man is a god. No man is perfect. We shouldn't be praising a singleman as some sort of deity that has come to rescue us. That exemplifies the cult of personality. I'd rather our children not be taught to unquestioningly praise anything or anyone at all. I'd rather that, in school, they be given the hard facts, ideally by a neutral source. If parents want to teach their kids to praise Barack Obama, or a god, or science, or some other idea, that's just dandy; they can have at it. But school faculty...no.

Prasied without question. Just like Bush was post 9/11? The class in question was simply doing a small show to reflect the fact that Obama is the first President kids can actually get excited about for several years. If he's such a terrible president, it will come out. The US isn't the Soviet Union, or pre-2003 Iraq. A cult of personality will never unjustifiably occur.Yo - I uncovered 3,000+ Youtube videos of elementary school children performing praises to SANTA CLAUS! A mythical holly, jolly man who flys around on a sled pulled by magical Reindeer who can FLY! And This dude breaks into people's houses, eats their milk and cookies and then dumps overstock/clearance toys all over their floor!!!!!
What is the world coming too when we allow such irrational joy and happiness to be flaunted like that by our children!
THEIR MINDS ARE TOO FRAGILE!!!! THEY MIGHT WANT TO BE HAPPY ALL YEAR LONG!!! WE CAN'T AFFORD THAT AS PARENTS!!!!!
I pray for their souls.

No way, man. I have no problem with Barack Obama being the president. He was elected by a sovereign majority. I have a problem when he is glorified without skepticism. As I said above, I don't give a damn who it is. It could be Ronald Reagan or Ghandi...you don't, in a school system, teach students to forego critical thought and bow down. If we happen to have a republican elected in 2012, and I see this happening with respect to him or her, you can count on this: I wil be the first person to speak out and condemn it. You make the ignorant assumption that everyone is necesarily partisan one way or the other. That is far from the case with me.

And to put my views in context, I was a junior in college in 2002, after 9/11. I saw very clearly exactly what you're talking about, with regards to the Bush Administration. I actually wrote a paper in an International Political Economy class specifically challenging the idea that Bush's domestic approval rating necessarily gave him a license to implement imperialistic foreign policy in the Middle East. Once again, don't make the mistake of assuming I'm that partisan. I'm an equal opportunity skeptic. If i see something that I think undermines liberty, government for the people and by the people, I will voice my concern every time.

There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama
You don't believe me, I hear you say
But Barack's as Irish, as was JFK
His granddaddy's daddy came from Moneygall
A small Irish village, well known to you all
He's in the white house, He took a chance
Now let's see Barack do Riverdance
Toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a loo, toor a lama
There's no one as Irish As Barack O'Bama
He's as Irish as bacon and cabbage and stew
He's Hawaiian he's Kenyan American too
He's in the white house, He took his chance
Now let's see Barack do Riverdance
Toor a loo, toor a lay, toor a loo, toor a lama
There's no one as Irish As Barack O'Bama
From Kerry and cork to old Donegal
Let's hear it for Barack from old moneygall
From the lakes if Killarney to old Connemara
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama"

After reading all the transcripts of these songs, I wonder if TC has taken the time to do so in his anti-Obama crusade. Practically every song leans towards empowering students to believe they can make a change in the world. The songs give the children hope, not one song even implies that Obama should never be questioned.
And as far as having issues with leftist ideaologies being presented to schoolchildren, that battle was lost years and years ago. My entire education was riddled with left leaning teachers offering their opinion to the students. This is nothing new. Teachers always sneak in ther perspective alongside the curriculum.
It's pretty obviously that his band of Secret Kenyan Communist Muslims with Controversial Christian Priests (TM) have obviously managed to infiltrate the entire school system and that this isn't just dumb teachers doing dumb things on their own or anything like that. It's not like Obama told them to do that or else.

But on the same token people would be making a post bashing republicans. Each side is equally as bad.
