They didn't mention red meat which is an utter fail of them. Red meat has a lot of mitochondria which can reinstate the inactive proteins (bad proteins) in our cells which causes cancer. It's alright to eat red meat, but you need to limit yourself.

There's truth to the article, but following those steps isn't going to prevent cancer by any means.

From what I've understood thanks to the news, everything gives you cancer. Meat, Fruit, Vegetables, Milk, Fish, TV's, Radio's, Iphones, Your creditcard etc.

I'm not kidding those are a couple of things that the news here say can cause cancer.

According to some scientsists it seems EVERYTHING wants to take a bite out of us. The only way to be safe is to hide in your house and urinate into jars like Howard Hughes.

5 simple ways to ward off Aussiepet threads 1. Do not in ANY circumstance provoke it to react in ANY way that would lead to the creation of a thread. (Possible risk) 2. Ignore its posts no matter how idiotic they may seem. 3. Accept its picture as a legitimate representation of whatever may be behind the user profile. 4. When in doubt, avoid confrontation to circumvent any possibility of a reply from Aussiepet. (I am at risk here) 5. Install several software pieces as necessary that may help with blocking posts.

Probably a good idea. Though it should be obvious that it is a joke.

everything gives you some sort of cancer, it's just less severe for some things. like if we figure out a way to live to 500 years old, cell phones will kill you.

Cancer is decay. All humans are born into decay. It is unavoidable... unless one dies of other complications before cell structures get a chance to mutate.

Spread jam on the floor, put your cat on your head, and dance around singing kumbaya.

I haven't had cancer once. It works.

There is no way, its the luck of the draw. Being 26 and dealing with cancer is not fun, if only there was a way to "ward" it off. Articles like these make me mad.

EVERYTHING causes cancer. If you lessen one risk I'm sure there are fifty more to take its place. Everyone has a 50/50 chance of getting it sometime, or so I've heard.

while i admit smoking my ciggs isn't a great habit..the day I heard on the news you can get cancer from just breathing air kinda put a damper on me. When it comes down to brass tax just about anything you do can give you cancer and it seems there really isn't a true preventative method around it. It seems you are predestined to get it or not...hence why someone can live to 100 and smoke a carton a day and not get lung cancer yet a runner who lives healthy drop dread at the age of 30 with lung cancer. Life is cruel...enjoy it while you can.

Some of the suggestions are excellent. However, they did not suggest fasting (specifically intermitted) practices, which is suggested to significantly increase life span, (view senescence, hayflick limit and telomeres). Also, health implications: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasting#Health_effects Practicing such significantly increase my cognitive and physical health, especially sports performence, yet it should be acknowledged that self preservation is not initially convenient. I believe that organisms do require selection pressure to satisfy 'healthy' conditions, meaning optimum physiology. Be certain to regulate caloric consumption and macro/micro nutrient ratio.
