Everything about this story is moronic. 1st off, it's a 140 year old hotdog, and it's on CNN.

2ndly, it's apparently now an artifact (even though hotdogs still reflect popular gastronomic culture) and is deemed worthy of being exhibited.

3rdly (these should be self-explanatory);

"Coney island holds a lot of history over new york and brooklyn, and for them to find a hotdog is just something to add on to it".

"That's unbelievable, findin' a hotdog that's 140 years old; that's crazy- to me that's crazy".

"These things are irreplacable, they're priceless, and it's great they found it and it will be here for generations to come - to see and learn."

Well it is weird that it made a spot on CNN news I agree on that part, but it is a part of history. If you found a 140 year old rifle would you not keep it and think it was awesome? How about a treasure chest? Both are significant parts of history and were very significant to which ever time/area they were found. Coney Island is known for it's hotdogs as well as many other things, but usually when you think of Coney Island you're first thought is Weird freaks and Hotdogs. So yes it is an artifact and many people will find it interesting. Especially many New Yorkers who grew up in Brooklyn and spent a significant time in Coney Island. I mentioned this story to my mom and she thought it was pretty interesting. She didn't even believe me at first. Maybe we don't see eye to eye and that's fine, but calling these people morons for finding interest in something that's an artifact to their home and history is wrong.
