That isn't the point. Alchohol can severely damage your brain when you are under 21, even with small amounts.

why do I have to learn another language cause of some dumn immagrany who probably got here illeagally. from mexico, BTW i live in texas. by the time im out of the classes i wont know anything im still copying of other people.

About Driving: It's the EXPERIENCE that counts, not the age. And plus, if someone is going to drive while being totally drunk at 16, they'd probably do it at 18 as well. People are stupid and there's nothing we can do about it.

About Drinking, well again, people are stupid and will get totally hammered no matter what age they are. I think it should be 18, but although people will drink no matter what age they are. Honestly I think beer tastes like **** and can actually have a bit of fun without getting drunk.

USA =/= holland

our driving age is 16 because our country is pretty rural for the most part and at 16 most kids can't rely on their parents to still drive them everywhere since that's also the age you start doing alot more things away from home.

The drinking age is 21 to keep alcohol out of high schools. It's really not setup to keep 18-21 year olds from driking, but the 14-18 year olds from drinking. Sure 14-18 year olds still drink, but it's not as easy to booze as it would be if the drinking age was 18. When I was a kid it was easier buying pot than buying alcohol.

the driving age is ok and so is the alchohol, u gotta think, America relies alot on vehicles to get them around so u need one as soon as possible, plus the alchohol age is alright too, Holland and other European nations hold drinking as a tradition, America not so much, i know in Germany u can drink at the age of 15 and even families let little kids have wine

21 seems stupid to me, people arent much more responsible at 21 than they are at 18.

In mexico this departament sucks!

Almost my whole class has alcohol problems and we are 14 years old!, They smoke too plus they drive in a compact with 6 people in the car, all of them drunk.

I personally find this really stupid Im avoiding to drink and i cant smoke because of my asthma I can actually die if i smoke and my dad is buying me a car when i turn 15, (just to start practicing of course...)

It is ilegal to whistle under the water violations punishable up to 150 dollar fine.

It is illegal to ride a marry-go-round on sunday violation is 200 dollars in fines.

These laws are still enacted however they are not enforced. And is it even possible to whistle under water? If it was why is it it a bad thing? We Oregonians must have been one strange bunch back in those days. Must have been from those long days on the wagon train.
