I personally don't care what society thinks.
However, probably so. Society does not care if a young man dates an adult woman. A 40 year old man dating a 20 year old woman might be less acceptable, though.
not true marliyn manson+racheal woods and that guy i can't remember >_> now the relationship might not end well AT ALL but it is nothing to "unacceptable"I personally don't care what society thinks.

I don't see anything wrong with it. When I was 24 I was dating a 36yr old. Age is nothing but a number, It's how mature you are.

It's unfortunate that celebrities generally get different treatment by societies.
The average person is Marylin Manson.

I don't see a problem. It's all personal opinion though.
Jennifer Aniston is in her 40s. I wouldn't turn her down ;)
[QUOTE="Xx_Hopeless_xX"]what? why isn't it wise Because that relationship won't last very long..unless i'm misunderstanding something about the point of dating..It's not very wise that's for sure...

Unless it's a rare, very attractive 40+year old woman, I'd say the 20-year old guy is definitely taking one in the loss column.
Let's get something straight right off the bat - 40 year olds are looking better than ever nowadays.
Older women are the bees knees people.
[QUOTE="Jandurin"]wow you people have never been 20? the whole point of dating at 20 is NOT to get married >_> sure, maybe at 25 or 28 you gotta get serious, but 20?Xx_Hopeless_xXWhat's the point of dating if you're 20?..Is the term "dating" now just the new word people use to justify their wish for sex and a short term relationship that bears absolutely nothing but pain in the end anyway?.. you must be doing it wrong because that "short term" relationship is how you FIND OUT WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT IN A WOMAN/MAN Just saying. Also, pain? For me it usually ended as it started, with sex.

You're a real downer, my man.
Now I know you hate when people have sex, but it's your own fault if a relationship "bears nothing but pain in the end."

Well that's great for you..if that works fine..i can't say i approve of it but whatever it's your life..but relationships..i agree are meant to look for the right person..and if it doesn't work out fine..but relationships these days tend to be just an excuse...at least at the age of 20 and under..i don't go into relationships that have no chance of surviving..
