2010 Pre-OTcars Discussion

Fellow forumites, it's time for another edition of the OTcars.For those of you unaware, the OTcars is an award ceremony celebrating the users who make Off-Topic good, bad and everything in between. Previous editions have been hosted by the_foreign_guy,enormousaxie andwhos_next000.

So here's what we need:
-- a host
-- vote counters
-- a date

(The following was ripped from previous editions.) If you're interested in being a host or tallyer, please PM me or reply below. But please, make sure you don't get suspended when it starts. Once you're the host, the responsibility is yours. You're in charge of organizing and communicating and leading the tallyers. This is a lot of work, so before you sign up for the job make sure that you're willing to put the time and effort into making the OTcars happen this year. Tallyers, you have a lot of hard work also and you need to be honest.

When we get down to it, we'll have two weeks of nominations followed by two weeks of voting. Of course, this is subject to change depending on the tallying process.

Let me know if there's anything I missed. This will be updated as needed.

Best Banned user is going to be really competitive this year seeing as we've lost so many really cool users. :o There should be like a video showing off those we've lost this past year like at the Oscars. It'll be fairly long due to so many bannings, just like the Oscars with so many deaths. Oh my god, I smell a conspiracy!xTheExploited

Hurray, I've been waiting several months OTcars. I love voting... but once again, I forgot to record things during the year that stood out to me in terms of specfic posters. Oh well, I hope my memory servers me well. Good luck to everyone and good luck to the host.

Anyway, I'd suggest -Sun_Tzu- for host. I'll also volunteer myself if nobody else wants to host, but I'm not sure I'd make a good host. :P

"The Clint Eastwood Award for Most Badass User"

Well, you're welcome to petition to have them allowed back... I'm probably not exactly the best person to ask to get a sense for what those in charge think of the idea, though.
