And I though the old model was fast (3.3 second 0-60). This new model is ungodly fast. And it appears that they ironed out the problems with the launch control, so no more warranty worries!I'd give a kidney to have one of these. : )

Nothing wrong with big v8's, but you have to at least respect what the Japanese have done with this engineering marvel. A car that weighs several hundred pounds more than a Corvette Zr1, has two rear seats and a full trunk, AND a hundred less hp than the ZR1 (2012 GT-R now has 530 hp to the ZR1's 630), yet it can stomp it on a drag strip.

They were within a couple tenths of a second of each other on some track tests. The GT-R is a beast for such a big car.

doubt it, Atleast while still relying on people to drive them. People have enough trouble controlling cars that accelerate for 0-60 in 12 seconds let alone 1. Cars might be getting faster but most people are still bad drivers.

Still a Corvette ZR1 is just much more visually appealing than a GT-R to me :)

You could sit in a corvette, and beat on it everyday, allday for years. And LS motors are legendary.
