So I guess the world does end in 2012 link
Impressive, but what do you think, will something happen that will bring the end of the world in 2012? How would you react if you'd found out the world would really end in 2012?

2012 has become a trend lately.
Even the newest movie with the one line wonder Keanu Reeves has 2012 symbolism, as the premiere is 12/12, and the end of the world, according to the Mayan calendar, is December 2012.
I can't wait till the time comes so I can laugh at people like you.Brainkiller05

We do know, scientifically, that a planetary alignment will occur. The effects of this event however, are uncertain.
The Fourth Riech won't rise until about 2015. 70 years after the death of Hitler The Nazi's (Yes they do still exist) have a name for this (can't remember what) Ask someone who lives in Europe and they should know about all the underground Nazi stuff going on.
The Middle East is is Peanuts to what will happen when the Europeans start killing each other again!
I'm hoping it wil get to 2012, and we will finally see an end to these threads.Bourbons3But it will never end. 2000, 2012, after that, people will just think of a different date. :P

Yup :D
I've haead so may times that the world would end this day. Aliens would come this day ( I that Oct-14-08 bull ) I just don't have any slight thought that it will. If it happens it happens but the world could end tomorrow for all we know. 12-12-12 just another day to me. Oh and that 6-6-06 thing that was funny.chaoz-kingExactly. There have been so many times people thought the world was gonna end on a certain day, it's ridiculous. Y2K, 6/6/06, and now this. Maybe it will happen, but... there's nothing you can really do about it.
I have my doubts, onless some huge freaking comet slams into the earth nothing will happen... yet again...
Every religion has thier own doomsday event, always placed conveniently far away form when the religion is made, to use as a means of fear to lure people into the religion.
H*ll even when the sun Burns out I doubt all life on eartyh will cease to exist, as we know it maybe, but hardly all life.
December 23rd, 2012 was the day the ancient mayan people predicted that would be the end of the world. Spirit_Warriors
No, it's supposed to be on December 21st, 2012, and the Mayans did not predict that the world would end. They predicted that on that date, the transitional period between the 5th age of the world and the 6th age of the world would come to a close with the 6th age of the world being heralded in on that date. The 6th age of the world is signified as a time in which the entire populace of the planet will experience massive sociological and technological advancements that lead to a cleaner and better society.
What you're proposing is just a new age doomsday theory that is merely the result of people misinterpreting the Mayan calendar. It's the same sensationalist Armageddon crap rehashed over and over again.

Thank you for being the only one that knows what their talking about. The only thing that could happen is the alignment of the planets, if that were to really happen, then most likely we will all die (no i am not kidding either) But the chances of the planets aligning are near to impossible, to get two planets to align is rare enough. I don't know why so many people freak out. Also, after doing some research regarding the alignment of celestial bodies on that date, I've noticed that every place that I've been to that asserts this claim doesn't have any scientific backing of the mechanics behind the implications of such an alignment, nor any actual calculations to back the claim up.
Then I did some searching on NASA's website:

What a surprise...
People really need to stop buying into this crap.
