Um. Why 2012? 2012 was the set year that the "world will end" because the Mayan calender ended on December 21st, 2012. The internet ending in 2012 is a gimmick to make people fight, and the conspiracy about the world ending in 2012 is false.
However, the internet companies are planning to take away peoples' internet rights to make more money.
The actual problem with network neutrality is that internet companies are starting to control what users can see and what they cannot see on the internet. For example, Comcast is blocking me from viewing Spanish websites that provide news. However, I cannot complain because they have updated their Terms of Service saying that they can do this if the website feels harmful to them. Comcast has also blocked users from accessing the internet all together if they were to use downloading programs or just download files from the internet. The only thing internet users can do is file a Cl@ss action law suit. My old internet provider (Insight BroadBand) was bought by Comcast, so I had to change my email. After a week of having my new email, I have noticed that some of my mail was not forwarded from InsightBB such as a Gift Certificate from Xfire for Amazon.com and mail from my friends.
I've spoke to one of the customer support team of Comcast, and told them that I was using a method to get through to the actual site without using Comcast's ISP (Internet Service Provider). They played dumb saying that it was my router that was doing all the blocking. Wrong. I can control my router and the blocking websites option is off.

Now:
I can access the websites I was wanting to access! Comcast is probably giving people their internet rights back, and when Comcast goes to court, they may play dumb saying "where's the proof?"
