My twitter feed will finally stop talking about it. And I can go back to reading science communicators dunk on anti-vaxxers.
And that is a change I welcome.
Ready for the campaigning to be over, that's for sure.
Also ready for things to get worse before they get better, no matter the outcome: Trump wins, it enables the MAGA movement to do terrible things just like it did before; Trump loses, they will cry foul and also do terrible things like before.

Pretty much. I expect today and tommorow to be the loudest, but after that. I my feed will hopefully start being more normal again. Swedish election cycles only last a month. So I don't need to hear about elections again in 2 years time (Swedish elections are in 2026).
I'm sorry but I just don't see Kamala Harris winning this year's Election. I just don't believe in her and I'm pretty damn sure my Countryman would agree she's not right for the job.

He says looking at poll numbers is useless in his predictions and a distraction for your average American.

This year it was supposed to be Biden vs Trump, Biden waited late to back out of the race and all of a sudden, the Dems gave everything to Kamala all of a sudden? I'm sorry but the Dems could have done better and give a better candidate opponent against Trump. I don't like the guy myself but this year's Election gave me a pitiful choices. I doubt anyone here feels the same way but that's all on me how I feel about Kamala Harris. Not cool to be mocking God Kamala, not cool at all.
Edit: Just a street rumor, I heard Kamala knifed Joe in the back just to get the Presidential candidate and if that's true, that's truly messed up and again, assuming that's really true.

Edit: The exit polling looks to be in Kamala Harris's favor, but that doesnt mean she has won. But still, I may have underestimated her chances.
If Trump somehow wins, I wonder whether Harris should just pull a Trump and pretend that she won. She can then certify a slate of fake electors and validly make herself president.
Republicans seem to think this strategy is 100% fair, so I assume they won't have any valid grounds to object when the other side does it?
@davillain: Honestly, I'm not excited about Harris, or how she got the nomination. She was never great at campaigning, and her policy proposals are not as well thought out or specific as they should be. That said, she has served in many levels of government, slowly working her way up the ranks to get where she is, which is usually what you want in a leader. Trump figured he could skip all that and win the popularity contest because he was already famous.
Kind of surprised no one talked about this in the legal thread or the harris thread, but apparently Elon Musk's lawyers admitted all of his petition winners were paid spokesmen and not random so no one had any real chance of winning, and now a class action lawsuit has started for textbook fraud.
If Trump gets in again, abortion rights go away, women will be chained to kitchen stoves barefoot and pregnant, slavery will come back, and nazis will return while riding on the back of dinosaurs.
