I love both films dearly...but I'll be honest...the 2nd was better...
The first one was utterly fantastic until they involved the soldiers. I don't care about procreation, I want to see 2 people wander London, aimlessly, fighting off zombies, and probably die because that is what would really happen ladies and gents. They would die.
The 2nd one gave me what I wanted, plus it was ALOT scarier. Even my girlfriend, who hated the 1st one, loved the second one. Especially the first part, the introduction really made you hate the father, and I mean HATE him.
Also, at the end where....
The kid was breathing hard into the chopper window, he was fighting off infection, he got part of his mother's gene but not the entire thing, he was able to delay it but not prevent it like she did...that gave me tingles, I knew what was going to happen next...the ending was great as well
Â

That is quite ridiculous. And on the "analogy" - it's not a very good one because plenty happened in that film that not many would have guessed. The characters are not typical horror antagonists and the plot takes a few twists.

aliens1234
I loved it almost as much as the first one. My reasons.
*spoilers ahead*
1.Not as suspenseful as the first.
2.A bit too much action and not as much psychological goodness as the first.
3.Didn't quite tell us what happend to the 3 survivors from the first movie.
4.Left wiith a huge cliff hanger
*spoilers end*Â
28 days felt like a more desperate movie, i enjoyed it definately, but 28 weeks....probably my favorite serious zombie movie, it sucks that 28 months got canned :\
No, 28 days later was directed by Danny Boyle, god knows who directed the sequel.
Oh why do I never check the dates!?

Brits will prefer the first, Americans will prefer the second. That's what I've experienced so far anyway.Hexagon_777Makes sense, 28 Weeks Later sure does seem to be aimed at Americans more than the first movie.
