Intuitiveness is not the same as functionality. The fact that a two-year-old can master the basic user interface is a good thing. It would be bad if that child could also master every aspect of the device's functionality... but that's not what's being proved here. And software so dumbed down a two year old can use it is a good thing how...?

Man, I hate this new computer crap. Takes all the skill out of calculating with a pen and paper.
My niece(turned 5 this year) is always playing with my iPod. She is addicted to violent zombie games lol. I don't even need to sit aside her to teach her how to use it, she already understands the whole thing. Kids have the patience to learn anything.
It's an easy thing to operate, any kid could get into it quickly.
kids have patience? not really. it's just that for them there's an instant response and reward. when they see they did something that's a reward for them. now it might not be that rewarding for adults if you're actually tried to get something specific done but for a kid just learning about it everything it does can be a reward. My niece(turned 5 this year) is always playing with my iPod.
