3 questions about tron legacy...

1. is it worth it? because its been getting heavily mixed reviews i think it has a 50 on metacritic and 38 on rotten tomtoes yet at the same time roger ebert gave the movie 3/4 stars and imdb rating of 7.8 so the reviews are heavily mixed...

2. is the 3d worth it because i heard apparently from alot of people they enjoyed it more then avatar is this true?

3. i never saw the first tron will a ton of stuff go over my head? or is this a movie which is a semi sequel but newcomers will be able to understand and enjoy it?

1. I enjoyed it, so yeah it was worth he $10 for a 3d ticket.

2. The whole movie IS NOT in 3d, but all the stuff you want 3d, IS (basically anything in the tronverse/computerworld). again, the 3d was worth the extra bit to me (but I hardly ever see 3d movies)

3. not at all. you could watch Tron Legacy without ever seeing the first one. The entire story of the first one is completely seperate. any back-story you need to go with Tron Legacy is in the movie

1. definitely NOT worth it. i can understand mediacritic and rottentomatoe ratings.

3/4 stars?roger ebert probably gets excited and interested easily...i found it quite boring honestly.

2.the 3d is only captured in a few parts, mostly during scenes in the "game". 3d is used well in parts but not as good as avatar.

3. i didnt watch the first tron. i had a bit of a problem with the story with "a ton of stuff go over my head"and hence, didnt enjoy it.

1. Yes. The reviewers are stupid and think it has no real plotline. It does.

2. Yes.

3. I saw the original Tron online (didn't see the end because Megavideo stops it after a certain time and I did NOT want to wait 50 minutes to continue) and I feel that you don't need to see the original Tron movie to understand Tron Legacy.

well, XiolinPrincess seconded my opinion, so I guess that clears that up =p

I understanded it and I never saw tron before. Its an ok film in the fact its a good film but in my opinion its noting special.

It never really drew me in and it was a bit boring. It lacked epicness for what it was
