300 was horrible.

I didn't like it. I thought it was over-exaggerated with the way they did it. I know it's supposed to be like a myth but it was all just slow-mo, yelling, and music played whenever anything happened if it ever stopped. Troy was a way better movie. The fight sceanes would have been cool if there weren't any close ups of the bloody spearhead. And what was with that lady jerkin around all wierd like that? Some of the fight sceanes were cool, I liked the part w/ the silver faced ppl. It just seems that they tried to make this movie really epic, but they over did it with just about everything. My 2 cents.

I want to see it...but from the trailer Ive seen it looks weird to me....like this basic looking Spartan army versus like..all these crazy creatures and stuff..I dont know..loks just weirdEscoDaddy14

its like watching an army of achilles facing tons of people.action, action, blood,gore, but also back stories that made it a sad movie at the end. It was awesome. 

i have to agree, it was pretty stupid.  they had NINJAS (who sounded like darth vader) in ancient greece.  And they made Xerxes into a 7-foot tall pride parade reject.  And it made the spartans into defenders of when they were an authoritarian society based off of slavery. Also the slow-mo made me gag :)

they werent ninjas, and they made that sound becasue they had masks. Xerxes looked like he did becasue he thought he was a good so they made him look as if he thought he was the most beautiful person on earth. And they were defending their country and all of greece againest an army that was trying to conquer the world. Whether they had slaves or not doesnt matter, they did not try conquering everything like the persians.

hes a king, in every war movie, when standing in front of alot of men, the leader yells. He cant sound like a pansy, and he cant be to calm. He wants to sound angry, to get the men pumped up.

300 was a great movie IMO.  It followed the comic book, and wasn't suppossed to be a history lesson. 

Troy though?  You really found Troy to be better?  I hated Troy, and found 300 to be far better, especially the acting.

  When its widely agreed that Troy was a subpar movie?  What now I am not allowed to say when someone has bad tastes?  When there were dumb logical pit falls like rushing 50 ft walls with nothing but a shield and sword/spear..  Where were they planning to do when they reach the wall?  Poke it till it falls?  Sorry to say but Troy WAS a subpar movie.

 Top that buddy why does it matter if Achillies wasn't as good as the Spartans or vice Versa IT WAS fictional, for all we know Achillies possibly could never have existed or was widely exgerated..
