What I'm surprised about is that they still haven't released a MP3 player with expandable memory. If you want more you just have to upgrade. I guess that's Apple's way of shafting its customers.
So they iron out the capacity problems but worsen the price issue? It's just not going to be Apple's year; first the Macbook Air suceeds in the field of disappointment, and now this. They need to get back in touch with reality and take another grab at the general public market, because that's where the iPod gained popularity.

Thats what Apple does best makes everything proprietary, if you want something thats upgradable you have to go through Apple and they make you pay like 400 bucks for whatever that actually worth 100 from a 3rd party vendor but Apple has to use Apple products

My media player is 30GB, and it's 3/4 full.. and I don't even have half the videos I want on there. And considering the iPod Touch has a larger screen than the Vision:M, the movies would be even bigger anyway. Sure, 8GB is nice for some, but when a device sports a decent video playback function, you expect the hardware to compliment it.
It's ridiculous how quick Apple shoots out new products these days. It seems like it's every other month that we're hearing about new Ipod products. They should do what Nintendo's doing with the DS. Wait til popularity goes down and then wow us to near death with a valid, critical upgrade.

A lot of people want more than 8 or 16 gigs, 32 gigs is a nice intermediate for those who don't want a larger harddrive player, but $500?! Really apple? That is absurd, the sad thing is apple fans will buy this so you really can't blame apple.

What the hell is the point of 73 gigs of music. Jeez. I only use about 3 gigs for music and the rest for movies.

It's personal preferences, if you really need the space for a lot of music, definately iPod C|assic, but if you're like me and Jailbreak your iPod Touch, you can do cool things like play Pokemon and other GBA games on it xP.
I love how apple overcharges for every new product liek the icrap, I mean the ipod. Yet people buy them by the truckload. Then again they could be the same people that made Hannah Montana and Meet the Spartans the #1 movie in America, People like to follow the crowd because it makes them think they are cool, when really they are not.

Seems small to me. Sure it's fine for music but once you start putting movies on that sucker you'll wish you had something with more space. IMO
