These are 5 random things I hate about my computer.

1. It's a Dell. Dell sucks and always will.

2. They gave me a crappy video card that can't play games or run HD-Videos.

3. The technical support line is horrible. They always give me Foriegn Indians who hang up on me alot.

4. I get blue-screen of Death alot. And I mean alot. This happens when I'm playing Halo 2 on my comp.

5. The warrenty sucks and dosen't cover rarely anything. The only thing it covers for me is my Hard-Drive. Nothing else.

What's some reasons you hate your computer? Tell me why!

I love my computer. I built it myself. :)

Specs:

E8400@3.6 GHz

8800GTS 512MB

Gigabyte P35-DS3L

4GB G.skill DDR2 RAM

500GB 7200.11 Seagate HDD

Keep in mind I built this in January 2008, so it's a bit dated at this point.

Also, Tweakguides.com should be required reading for everyone.

I love my computer, because I built it. Because I built it, I made sure it didn't suck, and I provide my own technical support.

1. No they do not suck, especially when you know what you are buying, only computer noobs think this. You must know what you are buying, and what parts to buy yourself, to an idiot yeah they do suck. 2. Your fault. 3. No the support line is rather good, I rma'd my laptop vostro 1310 because of the nvidia gpus overheating in some laptops, I was one of them, they are even replacing my monitor for free. 1 day shipping on their money. 4. Get updated drivers? I have no idea. 5. On my laptop the warranty covers the whole laptop, all of its internals Now I am not encouraging people to go out and buy dells, all I am saying is that you are just being aggressive for no reason.

I'm not an extreme overclocker. 3.6 is plenty fast for me. Also, if you are thinking about the Q6600  Nice overclock!

I have a Dell Desktop & Laptop and I have no complaints at all. I've had my Dell Desktop since 03/12/2005 & I'm using it til this day to play games, type up/research reports, work on school projects, listening to music, watching movies & shows & so on. I had hardware issues with the laptop & the technical support line helped us out. They decided to replace the motherboard, the monitor, the harddrive & GPU so they sent a hardware technician guy with the parts for free. After replacing the parts didn't work, they sent us a new laptop (upgraded for free) with a 1 day express shipping & free return shipping for the old laptop. They took care of everything fast & without any hassle for FREE!!!!

I do agree that I sometimes have a hard time understanding what the Indian technical support guys are saying but they are much more helpful than the American Tech line support that I use for my Desktop. I had a question about my desktop but the tech number was for businesses since I bought it under the Small Business Department. The American tech support guy said, my warranty was over so he couldn't answer my question until I paid $35 for the tech support service. I hung up & called India's tech support & told them that I had a simple question but my warranty was over. They asked what my question was & answered it promptly without giving me a hardtime. I've never been hung up by India's tech support but I have accidentely hung up on them but they have call me back right away. I guess taking my information from the beginning is a good idea since I give them my phone number.

I don't know why you had such bad luck. You're either biased against Dell or you're an idiot who doesn't know anything about computers. I'm not a computer expert or deem myself as one & I'm not brand biased either. I'm just giving recognition to a brand that's done me right thus far.

Honestly...I don't hate anything about my laptop or my desktop. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 in spring green, and my desktop is an old HP model from about 5 1/2 years ago, and it still works incredibly well (including the hard drive!). I really have no complaints.

1) My dell laptop works fine. 2) That's your own fault when you bought the hardware. 3) The technical support is mediocre. The reason you get Indian people is because their support is located in India since it's cheaper there for Dell. I usually just ask for a person that speaks better english and I usually get an improved speaker on the line. 4) If you're playing on a laptop it's probably because the system is overheating. If it's a desktop probably driver issues. 5) You didn't buy the correct warranty then.

No it's the qx6700, it came out before the q6600, this isn't the first time people havn't recognized my CPU, it's the oldy! :D (Also a qx6700 isnt a q6700, q6700 are g0 with locked multipliers). q6600 g0 are so easy to OC, in my server I have one and I had it at 4.0ghz but it was a bit unstable, so I brought it down to 3.7 ghz, locked and loaded. I could go higher, but after all, it's a server, can't have any downtime :)

My laptop is great, my only complaints are the fairly small HDD (250 GB), and the mid range video card (Nvidia 8600).

I got mine for £200. Check eBay for Mac Mini's. It's only a box and you have to provide your own mouse, keyboard and monitor (Which I'm assuming wouldn't be a problem considering your here :P ) and the specs aren't too bad to be honest. While they are sometimes abit lower than standard PC's on the Mac Mini's, Mac OSX isn't demanding on the spec you have.

And Mac OSX is also useless :) Windows - Software, all programs are basically here/games. Linux/Unix/FreeBSD - Server oritented stuff Macs Nada.

Five things I hate about my PC:

1. It could be faster.

2. Because it's Vista, it uses a lot of processes.

3. Could use some extra memory.

4. Could use a better graphics card.

5. Could have a better moniter.

Five things I hate about my Mac:

1. It's more of a toy than a computer.

2. It's terrible with internet connections. I'm able to detect a problem with the internet connection 3-4 minutes before the computer can.

3. It doesn't have enough useful programs. All the programs I need are on my PC.

4. Not enough customization.

5. The overall interface is so dumbed down that I can't seem to get it to do exactly what I want it to do.

I built my PC. But there's always things I either should have researched better or paid more attention to.

1. I have the Zerotherm BTF90 'Butterfly' heatsink for my CPU. It's a nice heatsink, and the fan speed is controlled by APM. Only problem, my motherboard is an ASUS and implements it's own 'off-spec' APM that conflicts with what the fan expects, so I have to disable it complelty and the fan runs at 100% all the time.

2. The video card I have, I found out after I got it that they were having trouble with the Fan controller and so by the time I got around to getting one they had locked the fan speed to 81%. Never goes higher, never goes lower, just 81%.

3. I'm still using Windows XP, because Vista drops support for my beloved Joystick port. Without my joystick port, I can't use my first edition Microsoft Force Feedback Pro, the best force feedback stick ever invented and no longer developed. Without my first edition Microsoft Force Feedback Pro, the best force feedback stick ever invented, I just don't know what I'd do.

4. It's not a quad-core. Yet.

5. Ever since I dropped AVG and started using Avast, I've been having problems with Power Management. Specifically, I had the screensaver set to 10 minutes and for the monitor to power off at 15. The screensaver always comes on as it should, but whether or not the monitor powers off after 15 minutes is hit-and-miss. Would switch back to AVG but the new version won't install as it detects a conflict with 'Roxio Easy CD Creator'. And I hate Nero.

You have a dell, and they do suck. You bought a crappy video card, they didn't give it to you and you could have bought a better one. Dell customer support sucks? Those poeple will stay on as long as needed and if you can't fix it, dell will have someone at your house withing 3 days (It is a rule, and it happens). The warranty covers everything, I have seen a lot of dells break and they have all gotten fixed within 3 days.

1 : I'm pretty sure I have a virus. Not a big one, but I get pop ups from random sites. I really need to look into AdAware or something like that. 2 : When I turn on my computer, once GRUB loads up I have 10 seconds to press something or else it loads Ubuntu by default. It gets annoying when I want to work in Flash and I get distracted as my computer's booting up and I look to see Ubuntu loading up. 3 : I'm using Windows. I guess this is kind of my fault because I'm not familiar enough with Linux and don't have the patience to relearn how to do everything I can with Windows, but that doesn't mean I can't be annoyed about using Windows. (I'm taking a Unix class in the fall so this won't last forever.) 4 : .... Well, #3 has pretty much taken the cake. There's a few other things I can ***** about, but it would be solved if I was in Linux and knew how to use it.... Kind of makes realize I'm actually doing pretty well with this computer. Thx, I've been in a bit of a funk recently.:)

I'm going to have to say Windows also. If some of my games, and other programs didn't require Windows I'd probably be using something else.

1. Dell's don't suck. They are prebuilt computers, generally meant for nothing more than basic usage. I had a Dell that was perfectly fine. In most cases, the life of the computer depends on how you use it. 2. Of course they gave you a crappy video card; it's prebuilt. In addition, shouldn't you have known what you were buying? They didn't give you a crappy video card, you bought it, probably without even looking at the specs. 3. You really shouldn't complain out foreign tech support when you can't handle proper grammar, yourself. If you want tech support, go to a local computer store, or find help elsewhere. Don't complain about the people who just want to do their job. They didn't route your call to another country. They're just trying to do their job. 4. The blue screen does not necessarily mean the hardware is bad; it's an ambiguous error, which could mean something as simple as you using Limewire, getting a virus, and corrupting your operating system, leaving yourself to blame. 5. Dell typically covers all the hardware components for one year, as long as any damage is not a result of your own abuse/negligence. I don't hate my computer, because I know how to take care of it. If you don't know how, then you shouldn't have one. I'm sick of people bringing me their computers and complaining about how the manufacturer doesn't cover their own stupidity.

1. I'm missing a button.

2. It's a laptop and I can't use a mouse unless I use that adaptor.

3. The battery is used up and I haven't bought a new one.

4. It gets too hot and make the room hot.

5. It's not a MacBook.
