One Reason Why Lord Of The Rings Movies Are Not Crap:
1. They are awesome
Bonus Reason:
The are awesome and you know it
PS. LOTR was written before Warcraft was made
That movie is racistRaged_Soulja
7. Percentage of protagonists in Fellowship who are white: 100. Meanwhile the black-skinned antagonists and their black crow spies and their black glass seeing ball inhabit their black towers and perform black magic. One would have to be blind to miss the symbolism.

ok but black is a metaphor not a reference to africans, besides, were not even allowed to call it a black market anymore, now its a parallel market oooOOO

If you read the books it does go over this at some point, the entire lord oof the rings trilagy occurs in upper mdle eart hand they are always quite a distance from the equator. It's like saying the film "king arther" was racist for not having any black people in it, it makes no sense for them to be in a film set way away from where black people are originally from and in the time itc was set populations wouldn't move around much.
Propaganda.
The Elves, clearly the most advanced and wise species, are also clearly gay.Number 25.
Theokhoth
JRR Tolkien was very catholic, i doubt he was a fan of homosexuality, besides there is no evidence of them being gay
while the writer of that article claims to be a movie professor, he certainly isn't a literature professor.
J.R. Tolkien's books pre-date many of the things he claims the series rips off. While I agree that the movies did a mediocre version of translating the novels, I can't agree with any faults he finds in the script. Many of these "complaints" could have been resolved by PAYING ATTENTION... or actually reading the books.
These books inspired many, many things in the world of fantasy literature, and to insult them insults the entire genre.
I understand that it was meant to be funny... but it strikes me as petty words from a man with too much time on his hands.

Yeah well, just look at the points...Lord of the Rings ripping of Warcraft?...come on man. This heresy certainly requires seriousness.
Geez-louise, people. It's not a serious article.:|
"Why couldn't Aragorn have been played by a monkey?"
You think that's serious?:|:|:|
Theokhoth
The actor playing aragorn is called viggo mortensen, hes danish.
There are no monkeys in denmark, therefore the accusation is clearly false
Every time Frodo or Bilbo went invisible with the ring they should have also gone BLIND. Your eyes cannot function unless light is reflected off the cornea. If light passes through it (as must be the case with invisibility) sight is no longer possible. Also, rings do not turn you invisible.
Yeah, fantasy stuff don't follow reallife things....Main reason why it's FANTASY.
I find it strange that people seem to think that was a serious list.A_Tarkovsky
but tthis went beyond funny into facepalm region
In actuality, LotR is the one constantly being ripped off. He created the first images of elves as being more than just foot-tall people helping out Santa. Now, everyone uses that.
I could make mroe examples, but the list is endless.

I know. I swear, half of the readers think it's serious, if not more. :? Did you see that one comment below it, some pissed off fan tried to disprove every point.

Quite true.
I only got to #20 before I quit reading it. Trying too hard to be funny.

People DO make stupid criticisms like these.which arn't based on fact and so arn't funny
#1 Plenty of people watch remakes or adaptations and have no idea there was an original.
#3 This is depressingly true. Too few people understand that widescreen, not fullscreen, is the correct aspect ratio.
#6 Happens all the time. People call some movie a rip-off when it was in production longer or its source material is older, etc.
#7 People read into some movies way too much.
#9 Funnily enough, I know someone whose only complaint about the trilogy was the violence. That's it.
#12 People who are confused by trick editing are all too prevalent in today's society.
#40 You know those people who won't watch a movie because it's over 90 minutes? I do.
Numerous ones: People who whine about continuity or plausibility make me fret for humanity.

But this list is making fun of the fact that these people make such baffling, unfounded criticism.I only saw the Fellowship of the Ring, and that was seven years ago when it was out in theatres, but I vividly remember the black octopus attacking in retaliation and I vividly remember the winged giant firebeast that fell from a bridge.
Some of these are rather pointless however, such as the one that says that rings can't produce invisibility. :| No way, Sherlock. I couldn't believe that a fantasy movie would do something like that.
