No it won't.  There is a bigger market for Spiderman.  Spiderman has all the fans of the movies, and the comic book fans.

The movie is in over 4000 theaters across the U.S. They are looking to make all their money back in one weekend, before word of mouth gets out . I saw the movie for free on Friday, I'm glad i did not have to pay to see it, but i still had to sit and watch this drek for 2.5 hours.Videodogg

But Spiderman was destined to make a ton of money. It appeals to a lot of people. I doubt POTC 3 will beat it, though I would like it.

Anyway, I saw Spidey 3 Friday around 10:15 in the morning and it was an alright movie. That is one Summer blockbuster down and many more to go.
