Kinda funny really. Lord Oby says it will create 3.5 Million jobs and it destroys 2.7. So, I think we should apply Oby math to his health care proposal which he said would be deficit neutral and save billions. So I'm guessing it'll add massively to the deficit and cost trillions.

exactly, we are still feeling repercussions from the last administration. Hell, we are still problably paying a little bit from Clinton's time, too.

When Obama has been in for two years, then maybe we can complain.

Maybe you don't understand that the stimulus is a failure. If it were to only create 3.5 million jobs between now and 2010 there would only be a net gain of 800K jobs, which is piddly. And that's if job loss stopped completely.

Read reliable sources on the economy

http://www.kiplinger.com/businessresource/recovery/

Also he said it would create 3 million jobs over 4 years, so far it has create approximately 30,000 jobs.

I'm not going to argue with you or anything since I believe that data is most likely legitimate. How ever a website with the name republican in it may not go well with a mostly-liberal OT. Just sayin' ;)

I beleive the estimated amount of jobs saved/ created would be 100000. I could be wrong, I would like some proof of theses jobs. Seriously. And over 2000000 jobs lost should show that this stimulus thing will not work. Gov't interference almost never turns out good.

I would like to point out one final thing. Purely by the link, we can evaluate bias and safely conclude this website is anti-Democrat/Obama. This means that because it is (heavily) biased all "research" will be slanted and therefore should not be accepted as a reliable source of information.

Next time, try harder.

Dude, the way the gov't is spending, we may never get out of this recession. Also, I would like to point out that I think the Democrats and Republicans are the same thing now, they are as bad as eachother.

The problem with this last election is that both of the candidates were exactly the same, save an issue or 2. McCain was a Socialist, Obama's a Socialist. Like I just said, Dems and Repubs are now just 2 different groups who share the same veiws, and yet still continue to argue. I have no doubt that the Republicans would have passed a healthcare bill.

But it's from people on the Ways and Means commitee of the House of Representatives. They write tax code, you know, that thing the tax cheat Charlie Rangel (D) chairs.

I don't think anybody can pass decent health-care reform, not with the health-care industry lobbying 1.4 Million a day to our politicians. The health-care industry is untouchable right now.

Ace I admire your support of Obama, but you are giving him too much credit. The stimulus of the Bush Administration / flood of liquidity / bailout, lowered interest rates from the Fed, and debt monetization of last year is what you should be thanking, not the Obama stimulus passed in Feb that has barely been spent. I personally believe that while all these things saved the economy at the time, they have doomed our economy in the future. That's a whole different discussion however.

Hmm, so not only are you admitting to only making this thread to annoy/tweak people instead of actually being informative, you decide to use such clever wordplay, it's making my head spin. Seriously, I need to sit down after that demonstrative mastery of the English language there, but you can go ahead and get a little time off while you're at it.
