doesn't this all depend on the type of zombie? It seems the 28 days later zombie wouldn't go down as easily as the dawn of the dead type zombie

Don't know how it'll be if it was a virus rather than some old magic.

They forgot about the part of massive panic, rioting, and killings of confusion before we actually understand what is happeneing. Like I said the problem is not the zombies but the people who go insane, and make small gangs to survive.

Going by the reasons they listed, the total infected would peak at about 30.

In that case, I look forward to bludgeoning people to death when flu season kicks in.

Would these rules apply to fast zombie's like the ones in I Am Legend?

The heat and cold would still get to that type of zombie, but seeing as they sort of move in packs, it would be harder for their natural predators to kill them. And that type of virus is airborne isn't it? :?

NiteLights

Varies on the story. Some times it's airborne, sometimes it has multiple ways to transfer. Rarely have I ever heard of it only transfering from a bite in stories. It could transfer from having an open cut and then killing a zombie and getting their blood on you.

This article really only addresses traditional night of the living dead style zombies. I'm pretty sure if a left 4 dead style infection started, we'd be boned.

Now imagine zombie hordes wandering Africa. Between lions and cape buffalo (and hippos, and rhinos, and elephants), we'd finally have a disease that Africa is better suited than the rest of the world to defend itself against.article
That's mean :P

Everybody should know Living Undead could never happen. But some Mutations such as the ones in Fallout just may be possible with Scientists onboard.

I agree. If we were dealing with Left 4 Dead type of zombie it would be a lot harder, but like I said, if we were dealing with an I Am Legend type, we'd be screwed seeing as they're fast, strong and not stupid.

I actually have a mate who believes zombies could happen in the future. :P I believe that maybe, there might be a virus that could linger in that direction, but Living Undead? No.

Science? I do not think that Science will help us out against Zombies. Zombies do not fear science but better yet laugh at it !

It also seems to assume the decaying traditional zombies and disregards the newer idea of zombies from movies like 28 days later, the remake of dawn of the dead, and the L4D games.

Pixel-Pirate

The 28 Days Later zombies aren't dead, though. So now instead of the zombie outbreak burning itself out because the zombies have decayed, the zombie outbreak burns itself out because the zombies have all starved.

Wow, shocking. Creatures that could never actually exist in the first place due to the million problems that come from being dead would suck even if they did exist due to the million problems that come from being dead.
