An asteroid is to hit Earth in about 20 years from now. The U.N is working to altar the route of this asteroid. Predictions is that the asteroid about the size of earth's moon will hit san francisco taking out the united states. If the asteroid hits ocean continents around the world will down about 3 miles under water, kind of like a super tsunami. The U.N will attempt to use a gravity gun to try and change the force. About 300 million dollars will be needed for the mission.

actually, that was disproved. It won't hit in 20 years. But it will come extremely close, so close that the Earth's gravity will alter its course, possibly setting it up for a future collision.

and they won't use gravity guns. The scientific community has come up with this solution: -they send a satellite to follow it to one side, and over time it will gradually move it away from the Earth's path. Luncbox1

The probability of Apophis (that is the name they gave this rock) hitting is is something like 1 in 45,000.  It will however pass right between the Earth and the Moon and could possibly swing back around an hit us in 2037.SunofVich

BS, BTW an asteroid the size of the moon would destroy the entire earth, so it doesn't really matter what part gets hit.
