Its a dobby bit of fun. You have to like pony, that is, understand that starry Kubrick was too focused on showcasing the ultra-violence and the groodies. He doesn't tell Alex's raskazz, that is story, as dear old Burgess had intended it. It can enjoyable but I'd very much recommend the novel over it.foxhound_foxI saw the movie first, after reading the book I wanted more nadsat in the movie.

ive seen a couple scenes on youtube such as the one where he kills the woman with a statue penis (lol wtf) and when he rapes the guys wife in front of her.kbubba92Don't worry, I saw a snuff film when I was 12(Using the loose definition guys), NOT purposely, so don't worry. And this is why I never give advice.....

I think one of the main problems with the film is it does glorify rape and violence (while the novel shows the reader why Alex was wrong), Kubrick is that kind of guy, he sacrificed the literary integrity of the novel for styIe.foxhound_foxThat's true, Kubrick did the same with the Shining I heard(I don't know much about the book, so I wouldn't know), although I thought it was interesting(A Clockwork Orange) to see a different style for both. I thought they both had a different type of theme behind them, the movie obviously a little more negative. I thought the ending worked for the movie though, in the book, the 21st chapter seemed to be a fine conclusion, but something about the movie and it ending with the 21st chapter doesn't seem right. Even though they could've just gone straight to a film adaption of the 21st chapter right where the movie ended, in my opinion, the ending for the movie felt more appropriate. Where as for the book, the 21st chapter fit in right. I dunno.
The movie is a classic, I've only seen it once but I think I need to dig it up and watch it again!gotcha455

I have to agree with the people who say that Kubrik's movie is excellent. But you should also read the book by Anthony Burgess. It's definitely better than the movie since you get much deeper character development and a more balanced pathos that doesn't focus solely on violence.
Once you read the book, you may find yourself thinking of many OT posters as a clockwork orange.
