Kubrick's best work.
Book was even better and has a different ending. I also thought the book better captured the spirit of the world in which it takes place but I guess that is usually the case.
I loved it. The message wasn't deep, but the way it was told was fun.krazykillazThat message being.. >__>
So... thoughts on this movie? I just just finished watching it... I'm not sure if I "got it".TheMutableOne
Watch it again then! You have to get it because once you do, you'll love it. Also, read the book because as good as the movie is, the book is sooo much better.

Will do. Nice sig/ava by the way.The message is very flexible depending on your personal insights into the story, it raised many questions concerning morality, the fact that Alex was punished by having his free will essentially stripped away for the good of society was the central theme I suppose and it questioned whether the powers that be have the right to shape a person in such a way. Another very interesting aspect of the story is the duplicity of Frank Alexander (the writer) who is a great representation of hypocrisy in the way that he seeks to use Alex to subvert the government but also plans to keep Alex locked away and torture him for his own vengeance. In turn the government uses this treatment of Alex as an excuse to lock Alexander up, thus eliminating his voice.
The film is very deep and with each viewing you may pick up on different themes and messages, I would recommend that you watch it again and see what you think.
I don't think there's a main message.
There's the young-old power struggle -theme, abuse of power -theme, the "correct" punishment - theme
the "a man stripped from his free will and a man deciding to be good isn't the same"- theme and probably some more that I missed... I think everybody finds their own message in the film.
